Lilac looked around to see she was in a dark area, unknown to her... It wasn't Hogwarts. Or really anywhere she knew really. She looks ahead to see two men, one similar to Sirius Black. She tilted her head as she walked closer. Sirius looked so angry, betrayed even...
"How could you, Sirius!? How could you betray Lily and James Potter to Voldemort?! They were your best friends! They are dead because of you! Because you sought to please the Dark Lord! I would never betray my friends for glory! You have yours coming, Sirius Black!" Peter exclaims towards Sirius. Before Sirius could even raise his wand, Peter was quicker. As if in slow motion, Lilac watched as Peter pointed his wand at the ground behind him. "Confringo!" Peter exclaimed. At the same instance, Sirius exclaims, "Protego totalum!"
A vast white shield of magic erupts about fifteen meters away, shielding the muggles... six of them. Peter's blasting curse hit the pavement with a deafening noise; the force brought up mounts of granite rock and all around the area people were flying backwards. Lilac cried out as she was forced to watch Peter, a man that was said 'innocent' murder innocent muggles. A Queen's guard slams into Sirius' shield charm before sliding down. Lilac watched helplessly as people fell to the curse's genesis. In the fray of the destruction, Lilac and Sirius watch as Peter does something with his hands, Peter then makes eye contact with Sirius. A very sly grin fitted across his features, he raised a single hand missing his index finger and waved the remaining digits to him. Mouthing the words: 'The Dark Lord sends his thanks.'
He begans to shrink, into a rat
"PETER!!" Sirius exclaims before it fades to black.
Lilac woke with a gasp, she was covered with sweat as she dreamt of Sirius and Peter Pettigrew. Lilac stepped out of her bed and looked outside... Still nighttime. Lilac walked outside of the dungeons and rushed to practice changing to her form and her spells. She could practice till it was dawn then go to classes after.
Hagrid and the four of them were at the Black Lake, Hagrid was still in his brown suit from the hearing. As he turns, the four of them catches a brief sight of his eyes, red with tears, then he looks away. Lilac knew it would be bad right as she caught the tears in his eyes. "How'd it go, Hagrid?" Hermione asks. "Buckbeak liked London." Hagrid admits. Lilac smiles softly, "She meant the hearing..." Lilac says. "Oh... That. Well, I got up an' said my bit- You know, how Buckbeak was a good Hippogriff an' as long as yeh treated 'im with respect, he's treat you the same. Then Lucius Malfoy got up an' said his bit -- you know, how Buckbeak was a deadly dangerous beast that no teacher in their righ' mind would expose their students to..." Hagrid tells them the whole thing. Lilac and Hermione quickly started to dread his answer on how it went. "And?" Hermione asks. Hagrid slings another rock into the water. "You mustn't blame yourself, Hagrid.." Lilac says. "Draco. It's him the Committee should punish. It's him they should send off to the forest, not Buckbeak." Ron says. "Buckbeak's not going back to the forest..." Hagrid admits. "Where's he going, Hagrid?" Lilac asks softly.
"He asked fer the worse, yeh see, Lucius Malfoy did. An' the Committee granted it. Buckbeak's bin sentenced ter death." Hagrid says.
"Relax... Let your mind go.." Professor TreLawney tells the students. The students gaze into the crystal balls, faces reflecting the mist within, so that their very skin seems to be made of smoke. Harry, Ron, and Hermione all sits together while Lilac, Emersyn, and Theodore sit together. "Crystal-gazing requires that you clear the Inner Eye. Only then, will you... See. Oh my, what do we have here...?" TreLawney says.
As Trelawney eyes Harry's crystal, Hermione rolls her eyes. "May I take a look... It's a Grim." Hermione tells her then looks deadpan. Lilac scoffs out a laugh. TreLawney's eyes narrowed at her, "My dear, from the moment you first arrived in my class, I sensed that you did not possess the proper spirit for the noble art of Divination. You may be young in years, but the heart that beats beneath your bosom is as shriveled as an old maid's, your soul as dry as the pages of the books to which you so desperately cleave." She tells Hermione. Rising gracefully, she exits... knocking the crystal to the floor. Harry and Lilac watches curiously as the ball slowly out the door. "In the late spring, one of our number will leave us forever! You knew, Professor. You saw..." Lavender exclaims. Lilac rolls her eyes, sometimes people leave. "On these occasions, I take no joy in my gift, Miss Brown." TreLawney states.
