He came back home... The complicated emotions that Rosè Jang had tried very hard to press down were now being stirred up again.
Park Jimin was the last person she wanted to face, because as soon as she saw him, her heart would be full of sadness, so she wouldn't act like Yoon Jane.
Worrying that she couldn't control her emotions and might misbehave in front of Park Jimin, she slammed on the brakes without even thinking and slowed down as much as she could when she saw his car.
Park Jimin got out of the car, walked up the stairs, entered the password, and walked into the villa.
After the door closed, Rosè Jang sped up the car that had barely moved, driving slowly into the driveway and parking next to Park Jimin.
She turned off the engine, then instead of getting out of the car, she opened the bag next to her in the passenger's seat, took her phone out, and checked if the sound was off. Next, she took out the clothes that she had worn to meet Lisa Lim, wrapped the phone inside them, and hid them under the seat. After she was sure that nothing belonging to Rosè Jang was on her, she finally pushed the car door open, grabbed her bag, and walked slowly to the door of the villa.
Rosè Jang stood by the door for a long time to make sure that she wouldn't lose control when she saw him, then entered the password, pulled the door open, and entered the villa.
Hearing the sound of the door opening, the housekeeper came to her with a pair of slippers for her, saying, "What a coincidence! Mr. Park just arrived."
Rosè Jang nodded, handed the bag to the housekeeper, and bent over to change her shoes. After a moment of hesitation when she stood up, she asked, "Where's Mr. Park?"
"Mr. Park's upstairs." The housekeeper put the bag on the sofa with a smiling face, saying, "Miss, are you hungry? Do you want a midnight snack?"
Rosè Jang barely ate in the evening, but going upstairs was the last thing she wanted to do, so she accepted the housekeeper's suggestion and softly said yes to her.
After the midnight snack, Rosè Jang didn't hurry to go upstairs, but sat on the sofa with the housekeeper and watched a drama on modern family ethics that the housekeeper had been watching recently.
During the commercials, Rosè Jang said, "Send a cup of water up to Mr. Park."
"Okay." The housekeeper stood up and walked into the dining room. After a short while, she walked out carrying a cup of hot water and went to the second floor.
After the housekeeper came back, Rosè Jang, seemingly unconcerned, asked while watching the TV, "Is Mr. Park busy?"
"No, when I went upstairs, Mr. Park had just taken a shower. Then he received a phone call, and now he's in the office," the housekeeper answered without noticing anything.
Park Jimin's in the office? So if I go upstairs and pretend to sleep in the bedroom right now, I could avoid running into him.
Thinking this, Rosè Jang put down the cup in her hand and stood up, saying, "I have to go upstairs now. Don't stay up too late."
"Goodnight, Miss," answered the housekeeper.
Without saying anything, Rosè Jang left the living room.
She had already taken a bath at the Ladies' Club, and Park Jimin was home, so she couldn't remove her makeup. She went into the master bedroom, brushed her teeth in the bathroom, then closed the door and turned off the light, climbing into bed.
With the quilt in her arms, Rosè Jang recalled the words that Park Jimin had said to her by the roadside, and all the years that she had insisted on loving him stubbornly. The tears started falling from her eyes.
