"I don't understand why we have to do this." I mumble getting out the car.

Amethyst decided to have me and Juno drop some things off at the Clearwater's. I guess one of the elders haven't been feeling well and they want herbs to make them feel better.

It's no secret to the elders on the Rez know what me and my family are. That's the reason the house is on the border. They didn't necessarily trust her or my uncle, so they demanded they lived on the border, with the rule of no killing. But another reason being, my aunt was friendly with the Cullens. She was the mediator between them, don't know why but she was.

"Yeah I don't know either. She was very demanding that I go with. She had this weird look in her eyes." I huff at Junos words and keep walking towards the house.

We knock on the door and we are greeted by an older but young looking woman. "Oh are you Amethysts' girls? Come in." We walk into the warm home and stand awkwardly in the doorway of the kitchen.

We see a man sitting at the table reading the newspaper. "Harry, these are Amethyst's girls. They brought the herbs we asked for."

"That you asked for Sue ! I'm perfectly fine!" Sue huffs and sets everything out on the table. "All these herbs you can mix into food or drinks. They should help with strength and heart health." I repeat what I was told.

"Perfect! Thank you ho -hey mom? Where did you- oh hi!" We turn and see a boy with long hair.

"My names Seth! Who are you guys?"

"Willow, that's Juniper." I turn to Juno only to see her staring at Seth with a glossed over look.

"Oh I know you guys! The boys on the rez call you scary and then I saw you in the woods with a fox one day." I smile at the scary comment.

"I'd like to think I'm nice."

"Are you sure about that?" Harry mumbles drinking the tea Sue made. I roll my eyes and cross my arms.

"Well, we just came to drop this stuff off. We will be leaving now."

"Good." A older girl comes in and she has a look of irritation on her face. "Problem?" I ask raising a brow.

She scoffs but Harry puts an end to it, "Leah, calm it. I don't need a cat fight in my kitchen. I have a feeling it would be a fair fight with you two." She huffs and shoulder bumps me as she's walking out.

I'm quick to follow her out the house, "hey, I never met you a day in my life so what's the issue?" I shout.

"My issue is that you hangout with Sam Uley !"

I stare at her as if she's stupid. "Ok? I don't know if you know but he's currently engaged and it's definitely not to me." I notice her hands clench at my words. I feel the corner of my mouth quirking.

"Ohhh you like him. That's the issue. "

"Shut up! You know nothing about me! "

Suddenly it clicks.

"Ohhh you're the ex girlfriend.... Sorry that happened to you. I know how it feels." She softens her gaze but she's still tense.

"Do you or are you just being an ass?"

"I had two people I love leave me for someone out of nowhere. It's not a fun feeling." She relaxes her body and stares at the ground. I walk up to her and nudge her a bit, "and just so you know, I do defend you when they bring it up. I may not know you but it's a soft spot for me." She looks at me in shock.

I give a soft smile and walk away before she can speak.
