"Juno baby what happened?" Amethyst shouts as she runs into her daughter. The girl breaks down and pulls her mother into a hug.

"He-he's dead! Har-harry Clearwater is dead! I tried! I-I tried to save him but I wasn't S-trong enough!" The girl sobs.

Amethyst is confused.

Charlie walks over, holding his hat to his chest. "Charlie, what's going on?"

"Harry Clearwater, he uh...he had a heart attack while we were in the woods. Juniper did cpr and was able to bring him back so we could get him to the ambulance. She was in the ambulance with him when he passed."

Amethyst covers her mouth in shock. "Oh Charlie, I'm so sorry. I know he was one of your best friends." The man sniffles as he tries to keep his composure.

"Thank you Amethyst. I Uhh... if it's not much, could you please tell Sue and the kids? I just, I ca-it's no problem." Amethyst holds Juno tightly

"Get yourself some water Charlie, eat something too ok?" Charlie nods and walks away from the mother and daughter duo.

Amethyst rubs Juniper's back as they walk through the hospital.

"Did you want to come with me to the Clearwaters sweetheart? It's ok If y-I need to be there for Seth." Amethyst nods and helps the girl into the car.

They begin the drive to the reservation, Juno's heart beating faster as they get closer.

Amethyst parks the car and sighs out. She's always hated giving bad news, especially death.

It's never easy.

The duo climb out the car and walk over to the door. The mother knocks on the door,Four times for each person in the house.

Sue opens the door and smiles seeing Amethyst, but it turns into a frown seeing the teenager next to her with a red splotchy face.

"Come in come in! Is everything ok?" Before Amethyst can say anything, Juniper begins to sob.

"I'm sorry Sue! I'm so so sorry! I tried to save him I really did! I did a spell but I wasn't strong enough!"

"What are you talking about dear? Save wh-Juni?" Seth walks into the livingroom.

He's confused as to why his girl friend is crying in his livingroom.

Seeing Seth's face causes Juniper to sob even harder. The boy runs over and grabs her before she falls to the floor.

"Sue, I'm sorry to bring this bad news but Harry has passed."

Seth tenses as the words ring through his ears.

His father is dead.

Juniper looks up at Seth who's eyes are distant and faded. "I'm sorry Seth I tried, I really did try to save him!"

Sue covers her mouth and stumbles back in shock.

Her husband is dead.

Her lover for years on end is dead.

The father of her children.

"You're lying!" Leah comes from around the corner, tears in her eyes and running down her face.

Amethyst gives Leah a sad look, "Leah, I'm truly sorry for your loss." The girl shakes her head and runs into her mothers arms.

After a few moments she speaks up, "did...he say anything Juniper?"

"He...he told me to take care of Seth and let you all know he loves you... then he said tìxwáli." Sue let's out a gut wrenching sob.

"He-he said he's going home?" Seth asks looking at his mom. He never learned their tribal language fluently, but he picked up on a few words.

Leah feels this rush of anger coursing through her veins. Her muscles tighten as everything in her body begins to get hot.

"You're a liar! This is his home!" Leah jumps up and stand over Juniper who is sobbing.

Seth gets angry and pulls Juniper closer to him, "leave her alone Leah! She didn't do anything! She tried to help him!"

"Well she should have tried harder, and now it's her fault our fathers dead!" Seth finds himself growling.

He stands up and gets in his sisters face, "shut up Leah! It's no one's fault! It's definitely not hers! We all know dad had a bad heart!"

"Don't act dumb Seth she just said she did some spell on him! We were both listening!" Leah grabs Juniper by her shirt and gets in her face.

"What the hell did you do to my father!" Something snaps in Seth.

He pushes Leah back making her stumble. "Don't touch her!"

Leah goes to say something but she bends over and starts groaning in pain.

A look of u crosses Sues face."she's shifting..."

"I thought only the men could shift?" Amethyst question in confusion. She's read countless books on the tribe and nothing mentioned a female shifter.

Sue crouches down next to Leah and rubs her back,"Leah listen to me!"

"What's happening?" Leah cries out in pain.

"Listen to me, we need to go outside!" Sue tries to lift Leah, but it seems as if the shifter weight has already kicked in.

Amethyst helps her and they manage to carry Leah's body outside.

Juniper and Seth follow.

"Mom what's happening with her?"

Her body is convulsing and Seth begins to think the worst.

He just lost his father, he can't lose his sister too.

The thought of his sister dying causes his own shifting process to start.

"Both of them? This can't be!" Sue cries out.

"Both of you listen! You need to breathe in and out calmly ok? Everything will be fine." Amethyst backs up as she speaks.

A bone snaps in Leah's body and she howls out in pain. Seth is watching in fright.

Leah's bones break and fur begins to grow

A large white wolf stand infront of them in all it's glory. Due to fear kicking in, Seth's body does the same. Juniper tries to run towards him but Amethyst holds her back, "it's not safe yet."

A brown wolf lands next to Leah,shaking in confusion.

"Oh my, Leah your coat, it matches your fathers." Sue tries to run her hand through the fir but Leah steps back.

"Leah what's going on?"

"The ledgends , their true..."

"Seth? Leah?"

"Who's there?" Leah growls.

"It's Sam."

"Fuck this and Fuck you!"

"Leah calm down, we need to get you and your brother to shift back then we can talk!"

"I don't want to talk to you sam! My father just died and now I'm a wolf and you're in my head!"

"Ok, at least let me help you change back and I won't talk to you or Seth until you are ready."

"Leah..." Seth whimpers

"Fine!"
