Drums echoed loudly throughout the deep caverns of Mandalore. Even from afar, the sound vibrated across my entire being. I could feel the pounding of the instrument in my chest. My shoulder brushed against Din's as we walked towards the living waters. I could still feel a strong life force coming from within the dark waters, but I haven't seen anything.

The drumming came to an abrupt halt as Din and I walked out of the hallway and into the large cavern. Mandalorians lined either side of the walkway in front of the steps, waiting for the ceremony to begin. Paz Vizslas' son stood knee deep in the living waters. My heart ached for the poor boy who had lost his father. Paz Vizsla had lost his life to the cloaked men once Din and I had been taken.

"I swear on my name and the names of the ancestors..." the Amorer stated clearly as she held a small bowl of water In her hands.

"I swear on my name and the names of the ancestors..." Ragnar repeated

"That I shall walk the way of the Mand'alor..." the Armorer said

"That I shall walk the way of the Mand'alor..." Ragnar repeated

"And the words of the Creed shall be forever forged in my heart." The Armorer finished

"And the words of the Creed shall be forever forged in my heart." Ragnar said. He then bowed his head down and allowed the Armorer to pour the living waters over the top of his helmet.

"This is the way." The armorer stated

"This is the way." Ragnar mirrored

"This is the way." All of the other Mandalorians spoke in sync. Ragnar then got up and walked back up the stairs again. I couldn't help the small pang of sadness that tugged at my heart strings at the fact that Paz didn't get to see this.

Din then walked forward and descended two of the steps with Grogu held in his arms. I followed after them but stopped at the top of the stairs beside Bo-Katan. Din gently placed Grogu on the step that was closest to the water line.

"Grogu is my apprentice. He is no longer a foundling. Add him to the song." Din said as he looked down at him.

"He is too young to speak so he is too young to take the Creed." The Armorer stated. Grogu babbled sadly and looked down, his ears lowered at her words.

"He must remain a foundling." The Armorer said

"If his parent gave permission, couldn't he then become a Mandalorian apprentice?" Din asked. A soft smile formed on my face at his words.

"Yes, but his parents are far from here, if they are even alive." The Armorer said. It was almost like she was playing dumb to get Din to admit to being his father.

"Then I will adopt him as my own." Din stated. Grogu babbled happily and the smile on my face grew.

The armorer turned her head to Din. "This is the way." I could hear the approval thick in her voice at Din's decision.

"This is the way." Din said

"Let it be written in song that Din Djarin is accepting this foundling as his son. Celeste Djarin, do you accept this foundling as your son?" The armorer turned her attention to me.

"I do." I stated without any hesitation. I think I have accepted Grogu as my son for a long time, longer than I have even realised.

"So be it." The Armorer nodded, she then turned her attention to Grogu. "You are now Din Grogu, Mandalorian apprentice."

"This is the way." All of the Mandalorians echoed

"You must leave Mandalore and take your apprentice on his journeys, just as your teacher did for you." The Armorer said
