Part 56 - Submitting

A few days passed, and I slept through half of it. Mostly to ignore Rido. Echo keeps me company.

I was starting to feel restless. Just then, I smelled something familiar, or rather someone. The door opened, and Takuma Ichijo walked in.

"Takuma?"
I asked
"Why are you-"

"I'm only protecting Senri's body,"
He said
"Senri doesn't deserve this."

"Takuma... I need blood. "

"I know, (Y/n)"
He said
"I've brought a girl with me. All of these women are insane. "

"I know."
I said
"I feel bad for them,"

A girl walked in another short dress.
"Lady (Y/n), please suck my blood."

"In a minute."
I said to the girl as I walked over to Takuma, who just closed the door.
"I have a plan to escape."

"How?"
He asked

"I'm going to regain my strength on this girl's blood then break out,"

"The walls are fortified"
He said
"It's almost impossible to break,"

"Then I'll just pretend,"
I said

"Taste my blood, Lady (Y/n)"
The girls said after slicing her finger open and sticking it in my mouth.

My breath hitched, and my eyes changed color. Takuma looked at me with a look of sadness. My breathing became uneven.

"Good luck (Y/n)"
Takuma said before leaving.

"Takuma, wait."
I said before hugging him
"Be safe."

He smiled at me
"You too,"

He closed the door behind him, leaving me in the dimly lit room alone with the girl, I turned around to see her on her knees in front of me.

My eyes were fixated on her neck. Before I could drink her blood, a voice spoke.

'If I can't break out, I'll try and reason with Rido'

'I trust you'

'I'll do anything to get us out. Now, drink her blood'

I pushed the girl onto her back on the ground before biting into her neck. The door opened again, and Rido stepped inside.

"How are you feeling today?"
He asked as I ignored him and continued to drink the girl's blood

He kneeled down beside me and stroked my back.
"Human blood is better than vampire blood, wouldn't you agree?"

I pulled away from her neck and looked at Rido
"I'll never drink it again,"
I said before returning to her neck.

"You'll crave it,"
He whispered into my ear
"After just a taste, you can't resist it anymore."

After I pulled away, I threw my head back, breathing with my mouth open. I glanced at Rido.

"You've fucked with my bloodlust,"
I said out of breath.
"You really are a monster."

He sighed
"It's what we vampires were meant to drink,"

"I refuse to kill."
I said, getting off the girl.

'It's now or never'

I let Echo take over. A wave of power radiated off my body. Rido immediately noticed.

"Nice to finally meet you,"
He said, walking to me

"I've decided to work with you,"
Echo said
"You bring out the most power out of my vessel."

"How can I trust you?"

"I've lived for thousands of years, I've met and worked with many purebloods. I know when to start with someone like you,"
Echo stated
"(Y/n) will do as I say."

"Will you kill someone for me?"

"Yes."
Echo said, getting on our knees.
"I will do as you say,"

Rido lifted my chin to make us look at him. He narrowed his eyes.

"Our power is stronger together."
Echo said, standing up.

"Follow me"
