Part 58 - darkness

'We need to go back'
Echo stated

'Why?'

'It's almost been 20 minutes'

"I need to go,"
I said to Zero
"I'll be back,"

I let Echo take over and get us back quicker. 30 seconds remaining, and I entered the building, before the time was up in was kneeled next to Rido. He placed his hand on my head.

"Good girl,"
He said

I wanted to throw up. Those filthy words.

"We will strike tonight,"
Rido whispered into my ear
"Let's go get your sister,"

I didn't have a good feeling about this. Hopefully, the human blood keeps me from losing control.

We walked down the steps, I waited outside the room as Rido went inside to undo the chains on Yuki.

"Hello (Y/n)"
Yuki said with a smirk.

"Yuki"
Echo said in a greeting

"We attack tonight,"
Rido said to Yuki
"We have the Echo on our side,"

"How did you manage that?"
She asked

"Alot of human blood"
He joked as we ascended the stairs.

As the sun started to set and the night to which we are enslaved, it took over. The vampires made their move.

"We need to get rid of Kaname Kuran."
Yuki said
"He'll only get in our way."

"You and Echo go do that,"
Rido said
"I'll prepare the attack and my body."

Yuki and I made our way over.
"So (Y/n)'s not in there?"

"I have no use for her,"
Echo said
'Harsh much?"

Kaname stood in front of the dorm gates waiting for us.
"Both my sisters, what's this sspose to be?"

"Your death"
Yuki said

Yuki tried to launch at Kaname, but I grabbed her neck, slamming it against the floor

"You've gotten stronger,"
Yuki said
"Did you enjoy killing humans-"

"Shut up!"
I yelled, choking her

"I always know what to say to get on your nerves,"
Yuki said as Kaname picked her up.

"Rest Yuki"
He said, placing his hand behind her head. An orb appeared by his hand before Yuki's body gave in

A vampire came to get her, and Kaname and I went to go find the headmaster. He was already fighting some Level-E  vampires.

"Need some help?"
I asked, disintegrating 5 vampires.

"Thank you (Y/n)"
He said with a smile

"The only one who can beat Rido is you... (Y/n)"
Kaname said

"We'll protect everyone here."
The headmaster said before shooting another Level-E.
"We believe in you,"

I smiled before running to where I sensed Rido. I found a coffin broken open and empty inside, Senri was lying on the bed unconscious.

"Where is he, Takuma?"
I asked.

"I'm sorry (Y/n),"
Takuma said
"You're too late."

After he said that, I felt a stabbing feeling through my stomach. I gasped at the impact, looking down.

I slowly looked back to see Rido in his own body.
"Fuck"
I whispered before closing my eyes

'Looks like this is the end, Echo'

'You're wrong'

'Why?'

'He didn't hit your heart'

When I opened my eyes a gunshot was heard behind me. I used that as a distraction pulling away from his and grabbing his throat.

I looked into those eyes. Pure evil stared back at me. Zero stood there aiming the gun at him. I went to plunge my hand through his chest but I hesitated.

"You can't kill me"
He said placing his hand on my cheek.

'Why can't I...'

'I don't know'

Zero shot him a few time with his Bloody Rose, making blood run down his face.

"I believe in you"
Zero whispered into my ear.

Without a second thought I plunged my arm through his chest ripping out his heart. He fell to his knees, and so did I.

A sharp pain went through my body. I wanted to scream, I was worse than any pain I've experienced.

Everything went black
