Scourge
Chapter 61

"So are you guaranteeing my last wish or not?"Malik asks staring at falak.

"You are not dieing Malik, you are going to have a liver transplant."

"And I tell you I'm not making it out of that surgery alive."

"Then you don't wanna be with me,
If you truly want to be with me you would survive it."

"Maybe we aren't fated to be then."

"I thought you don't believe in fate?

"I don't love you before and here I am always pleading with you to come back to me, if it isn't fate then I have no clue what it is."

"It was fate that brought us together," she replied coming down from the bed.

"Then perhaps we aren't destined to be.
What is holding you back?"

"A lot is holding me back, Malik,
A lot."falak replied with a sigh and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Who is Aisha?" she asks and Malik stares at her.

"She was my life.
I married her at the war front, she was willing to sacrifice everything for me, including her life." he reply and falak stays quiet for a while.

"Do you still have feelings for her?"

"Always falak,
But what feeling will I keep with the dead,
She is the past and you are the present, I know what I want and now I want you."

"I'm not satisfied with this answer."

"What else do you want me to do?
Lay my life for you?
Or how to prove I'm worthy of your love?
The past should be in the past."

"Not all past can be in the past,
A past of torture can never be forgotten,
Love dies Malik."

"It doesn't falak
Love is a living thing, not an object."

"Then yours is dead inside me."

"How possible is that when each time you see me you feel alive, but whichever decision you make do it arguing with a dead man is pointless."

"You shall live long to experience every pain you inflicted on your loved ones your death will break many ties, Malik."

"Are you wishing me dead?"

"I'm wishing you to live long to harvest your deed."

"You are been savage Mrs. Malik and extremely cruel these days."

"I learned from the best."

"Is that so?" Malik asks standing up with a wicked grin that makes falak glare playfully at him.

"Don't take a step you walking toward a lioness den," she says and Malik cracks up laughing making her chuckle as she stares at him.
It always feels so unreal whenever he is laughing, his laugh is so contagious and she can't help but smile whenever Malik is in such a mood.
