A trip to another world, how does it go for the seasoned warriors?

LUO FEI: *sighs* Well, we have some time before we arrive at Cho-Taiyo. *sits down* We have time to kill.

TIAN HENG: *reading a book with a scoff* Well, keep quiet then so I can read this book in peace.

HAO LEI: Okay, let's take this easy... *sweatdrops* We don't want to get too overexcited.

LING XI: Well, those two are as lively as ever. *shakes head as she turns to their captain* Thanks for helping us get there, though. It must be quite the difference compared to manning a ship.

CAPTAIN HADDOCK: Shucks, don't say that! I was offered the job and took it anyway! Plus always happy to help the youngins! *chuckles* I'll have to head back after, though. Tintin needs my help with some new cases.

YAN SHENG: We understand. *bows* Thank you so much.

CAPTAIN HADDOCK: *waves it off* You kids can have fun with the board games at the back! Land should be quite the distance away according to this thingamajig! *gestures to the controls*

YA LI: R-Right...! "I just hope he doesn't make us crash into anything..."

SONG KA: Let's have some fun! *rushes back to look at the games*

TIE MU: Let's hope it's something good. *joins him as the others huddle*

LUO FEI, YAN SHENG: *reach for the same game, pause, look at each other and blush as they look away*

YAN SHENG: Y-You can take it, Luo Fei-ge.

LUO FEI: No no! *shakes head frantically* You should get to pick first!

EVERYONE ELSE: *watches them* "They're so in love with each other..."

LING XI: What game is that even? *curious*

HAO LEI: *looks over* Oh, it's... *freezes* Oh no.

TIAN HENG: Well. This has gotten much more interesting. *slow Grinch smile*

XIAO KUI: *getting scared* W-Why do you look so happy?

TIAN HENG: One of the legendary friendship-ending games of all times... *grins* UNO

LING XI: U-Uno? Isn't that a word in another language?

YAN SHENG: One in Spanish, yeah. But the game itself originated from Mau-Mau, a German game popular in Europe back in the old days. *shrugs* it's quite interesting.

TIAN HENG: Similar to how chess originated from an Indian war game to minimise death on the battlefield, right?

LUO FEI: Pretty much. *smiles* It's quite interesting, actually. Lots of games have surprising origins.

LING XI: *grins* Then we should try this Uno out first! I want to play more games from your world!

HAO LEI: That sounds like a plan! Afterwards, we can play maybe some of the classics!

TIAN HENG: Snakes and ladders! And Ludo! Backgammon and Chinese chess would be AMAZING! *notices their looks* What? I'm not THAT inept at non-fiction stuff! Plus, I would play chess with my parents! *huffs* The nerve, really!

HAO LEI: *giggles* That's Tian Heng for you, I guess.

TIE MU: *sighs* Don't remind me.

DA SHAN: *giggles too* We should start the games then!

CAO BEN ZAI: Bo ling ling! Let's do this!

EVERYONE: OHHH!!

CAPTAIN HADDOCK: *watches them with smile* Those youngins are having the time of their lives, I just know it!

****

HAO LEI: HOW DID YOU WIN SO WELL LING XI?!

LING XI: I AM a princess, after all!

TIAN HENG: AS IF THAT HAS ANY CONNECTION!

DANNY: ... Uh, is this...

TIE MU: you get used to it after some time.

CHIRO: Man, and I thought GIBSON AND SPARKS were bad.

GIBSON, SPARKS: WE ARE NOT!
