"OI, REF" I yell at the idiot "STOP THE FUCKING GAME" I shout at him and point out that Leah's gone down.

I run over to her, getting there ahead of the medics since the ref hasn't allowed them on yet.

"Hey you're ok, what's wrong" I ask her as I squat down beside her and put my hand on her back.

"I think I've done it" those are the words you never want to hear coming out of a players mouth. Much less when it's your teammate saying it.

"Shit" I whisper out.

I honestly don't know what to say...

It's only been 11 minutes since the game started and she wasn't doing anything she hasn't done a thousand times before.

This is why we need to have research done, find ways to lessen the risk of getting this particular injury and it's honestly bullshit that we don't know jack-shit about it.

"Back up Gray" one of the medics says as they finally get to us. I back up a bit but stay close by until Jonas calls me over.

The ManU medics also run over to her along with the stretcher team while Jonas is talking to us about tactics and telling Gio to go warm up.

She's fairly new to the team but I like her and we get along nicely as she's closer to me in age, me only being 2 years older than her.

"Gray" Jonas waves me over to him "You're taking Leah's position and Gio will be taking yours. I know it's a sudden change but I also know that you can play almost everywhere on the pitch" I give him a nod before running over do Gio and telling her the plan.

Leah walks off the pitch which makes the fans cheer loudly and I send her a small smile that she reciprocates.

"COME ON GIRLS KEEP YOUR HEADS UP" I shout to them.

Leah going down like that really shook us up and we're playing bloody awful. Wally's our captain and she's doing her best to motivate us but we're still playing like we've already lost the game.

"Oh FUCK OFF" I'm getting more and more frustrated since nothing is working. The ref also seems to have it out for me and I'm really close to punching him.

He's given ManU 3 free-kicks from tackles I've made, and they've all been fucking clean.

It's the last minute of injury time when Lessi scores after we made yet another mistake.

"WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON OUT THERE" I yell at them when we get into the changing room for halftime "WE'RE RUNNING AROUND LIKE HEADLESS CHICKENS" I'm absolutely fuming.

"She's right. We're making silly mistakes and leaving open spaces all over which lets them tear down both our midfield and defense" Wally says, she's much calmer than I am.

Jonas tells us what we need to work on and goes over the new tactics which is basically him telling us to focus more on the defense and stop giving them so much space. We get back out for the start of the second half

I notice that Zelem is running down the pitch, getting into a good position to receive the ball and when she does, she apparently forgets that I'm right there. I see her looking for Toone so I go in for the tackle and get the ball, kicking it out of bounds.

The ref blows his whistle before walking over to us and pulls out a fucking yellow card.

"WHAT" I shout at him. I calm down as to not make the situation worse "I only got the ball. That tackle was clean and you know it" this is absolutely ridiculous.

"It's my call" what a fucking idiot..

"Go get your bloody eyes checked. That wasn't a fucking foul, just like the other 3 I've made" I tell him.
