"I read through this book" Audrey brought forth the book that contained Bludhäven history. For a brief moment Alistair's eyes widened with shock as his eyes fell on the book but he quickly recovered, the reaction was gone too quickly for Audrey to take notice of.

Carefully he took the book in his arms, his eyes narrowing in suspicion as he skimmed over the book. He flips the cover, a signature at the corner of the pages catching his eye before he slams the book shut. His sudden reaction surprised Audrey to the point where she leans back, her brows dipped in confusion as she watched Alistair place the book under the piles of books he had come with. "I-it spoke about a dark beast that had reduced the city to ashes, an old spirit, a dark and evil being that terrorizes and comes to spread chaos and ruine every blood moon"

"These books are not historically accurate. Those events took place centuries ago, no one was alive then" his tone dismissive and blunt

"So no one can know exactly what happened. It is but a myth that was orchestrated by feeble minded wolves with nothing worthy of penning down going on in their lives so they make up stories and pass it off as our history" he pushes himself to his feet and walks to the door but stops halfway. "Today's lesson was most productive, I will take my leave now your Grace" he continued walking forward.

Audrey watched his back in shock and confusion. The way and manner in which he dismissed her was quick and completely unlike the inquisitive and patient teacher she had come to know in the past few hours of their lecture time. Something was wrong and she could feel it. "The book spoke about a tapestry" her words bring him to a frigid stop, his face pales. "A tapestry that shows the beginning, the very beginning"

He inhales sharply, turning so half of his body is facing Audrey as he replies "If there was a tapestry it would be in the library but as I am sure you know, there is no such tapestry. I suggest you do not pay mind to these fickle stories, they will profit you not. I bid you farewell your Grace"

Without sparing another second Alistair walks out of the study, leaving Audrey confused. He walks up to the end of the walkway where he stops and bows "Long Live The King" he praises

"Alistair" Darius acknowledges.

"I believe you have some information for me? On my mate's progress"

I make my way out of the study, my head feeling a bit light and my stomach churning. I completely forgot to eat breakfast and now I was paying the price for it.

I inhaled a deep breath, trying to study myself as I walked down the hallway but I stopped in my tracks when I spotted Alistair speaking with Darius. A blush bloomed across my cheeks at the sight of him, it had been days since I had last seen him and sleep in in seperate chambers wasn't helping matters. The sight of his grown out stubble, his disheveled golden locks and his delicious muscles that seemed to be peaking through every inch of the tunic that wrapped around his body had my ovaries quaking.

My breathi picked up as my eyes shamelessly began to devour him, his sinfully gorgeous face, his perfectly angled features, his pink luscious lips that had not touched mine in what seemed like forever. A wave of hunger, passion and desire slammed into me and I began to wondered how I had survived days without seeing him. My skin began to itch with the urge to touch him, to feel his rough stubble against the pads of my fingers, to kiss his soft lips that could bring me to my knees. To hold him, to have him, to taste him. In that moment nothing else mattered, no one else existed but me and my King, the love of my life. He looked so crudely tempting in his dark jeans, leather boots and white tunic.

It should be illegal for one to look so devastatingly handsome, so physically powerful. He was like walking sex on legs and I was so carried away by my hormones I has forgotten my arousal could be smelt and at this rate probably by every wolf in this floor of the castle. I watched in excitement as Darius's head snapped to my direction, his nose flaring as he inhaled, taking in a breath of my arousal and before I knew it he was right in front of me. I swallowed, barely able to handle the heat his closet proximity ignited deep inside me. He oozed power, control, crude intents yet I crcraved it- yearned for every last ounce of it, I thirst for it.

Coming down from my high, I caught a glimpse of Alistair placing the same history book he had earlier taken from me into Darius's hands. My brows plummets as I continue to watch the exchange, their voices comin out in quiet rumble of whispers, not even a word reaching my ears.

I had taken a step forward towards them, surely they we're just discussing my progress, right? But I failed to shake the feeling that there was someth more, before I could progress any further Elijah's voice came

"My Princess, the Oracle awaits you arrival in your chambers"

I turned around, awkwardly regarding Elijah. What did he say again?

"Pardon?"

"The Oracle is awaiting your presence in your chambers" he repeats, watching me with scrutiny. "Are you alright my princess?"

I nod, glancing back to where Darius and Alistair once stood to see them no longer there. Sugars.

I turn back to Elijah and manager a smile, "Lead the way"
