Natural charm

Once I finished crying we went to bed, I was walking to the bathroom with my sleep shirt and shorts when Beau stopped me
"Um, no, you need to put on a pair of pants so you don't freeze again tonight," Beau said
I waved him off
"I won't be as cold tonight," I told him
"Baby, you are the coldest person I know," he said
"I can't help the fact that I get cold easily," I said
"Exactly, so Please, just put some pants on instead of shorts," Beau said
"Alright," I said
I walked over to my suitcase and started digging through it, I came across a pair of my jeans(not my maternity jeans) I held them up to see if they were leggings, and as I was holding them up I heard Beau mumble something
"What was that baby? I didn't hear you" I said putting the jeans down and looking over my shoulder at Beau
"What? I didn't say anything love, I have no idea what you're talking about" Beau said unconvincingly
"Beau, what the hell did you say?" I began
"I'm Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude" I added, pouting
Beau sat down next to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder, rubbing his hand up and down my arm
"You didn't sound rude love, it must just actually be hormones," he said
"I guess, but actually, what did you say?" I asked
"Oh, I was just asking about your jeans," he said slyly
"What about them?" I asked putting my hand on my hip
"Never mind, it's not important" he tried to change the subject
"No, what was it?" I asked playfully
"I said that I thought those jeans looked a little small" he explained slyly
"Oh really?" I said
"You know, you're kinda the one that did this," I added jokingly
"Actually, It was a team effort, thank you," He said confidently
"Oh really because I—" I started but Beau shut me up by kissing me
I giggled against his lips, I could feel him smirking against my lips, then there was a soft knock on the door, just barely loud enough for us to hear, before a little blonde-haired girl looked around the door at us, Luna, her eyes looked like she had just woken up, but her hair was braided in a perfect braid
"Ella?" She mumbled
I got up and walked over to her, when I got to her I picked her up and put her high on my hip, keeping my arms under her butt so she wouldn't fall
"What's wrong Luna?" I asked her
She laid her head on my shoulder and started to doodle circles on my chest with her finger
"Luna?" I tried again
"Scary" she whispered into my ear
"What's scary?" I asked as I started to pat her softly on the back
"Room scary" she mumbled
"Okay come on let's take you to Mama—" I started before she started to shake her head nearly making me lose my balance
"Well, where do you wanna go then?" I asked her
Without moving her head off my shoulder she pointed to the bed Beau and I were sleeping on, I rubbed my hand up and down her back
"You wanna sleep with us?" I asked
She nodded her head
"Okay come on," I told her as I took her over to our bed and pulled the blanket back then laid her in bed and covered her up, a small smile spread across her face, I brushed a few stray hairs out of her eyes then kissed her on the cheek, I went to change my clothes while beau sat with Luna, when I came out of the bathroom Luna had already passed out again, beau walked up in front of me and gently grabbed my hips and pulled me to him, he kissed my forehead then smiled at me
"How do you get every little girl to be your best friend?" He asked playfully
"I don't know, I just treat them how I would want people to treat our babies" I explained
"Must be a natural charm" he said as he kissed my forehead again
As soon as I laid down on the bed Luna moved closer to me and snuggled into my chest, my eyes started to drift close and that was the last thing I remember before I was asleep
