Nothing like having a small emotional breakdown at the beach and then panicking a tiny bit because the emotional breakdown triggered brixton hicks, beau of course, was still visibly nervous 20 minutes later, even when Emily and I were trying to convince him that everything was fine
"Baby, I'm fine it's a normal thing" I tried telling him
"You may be fine but it's my fault" he admitted
"What do you mean it's your fault?" I asked
"Sometimes stress, hormones, and strong emotions can trigger Braxton hicks" Emily chimed in
"Still it's not your fault beau," I told him
He was still very visibly upset with himself no matter what I told him
"I upset you, which means I triggered the Brixton hicks" he finally said
"Beau that doesn't make it your fault, anything could have triggered them," I told him
"They were going to start with or without triggering eventually, usually it doesn't happen until later but everyone is different" Emily explained
"See? It isn't your fault beau" I told him
"Alright well I think I'm gonna go get in the water again, are you gonna come this time love?" Beau said
I sighed and started to get up, I did want to go in the water but I felt uncomfortable in my body at the moment, even though I knew I shouldn't be, my body was doing completely normal things
"Sure, I'll come for a little while," I told him as I took off the shirt I was wearing
We didn't get too far away before Luna ran up and grabbed my hand, I looked down at her, and she smiled at me then pointed to the water and started to tug me forward, me and Luna only went in far enough for the water to come up to Lunas hips, which meant the water was right at my knees, so I carefully got down and sat on my knees next to Luna, the water was a little ways below my chest, Luna started to reach down grabbing and looking for sea shells, while I sat and watched her, she picked up shells until her arms were full then ran back to to where we had been sitting, I started to watch the ocean, the sky was a grayish blue and the water was clear, it was a beautiful sight, I sat there just watching the waves, until I looked around to see if Luna had come back, but instead of Luna sitting next to me, it was beau sitting next to me, I didn't know how long he had been there, he looked at me and smiled
"What's that face for?" I asked
"What face," he said
"That face," I said
"Can I not look at my girlfriend and smile?" He asked
"Yes you can, but it's a little creepy that you just showed up next to me," I said jokingly
"I didn't just show up next to you, you were just too focused on the ocean to notice," he told me
"I guess you have a point there" I said looking back to where the ocean meets the sky
It was quiet for a few seconds before Beau started to talk
"You're so pretty," he said out of nowhere
I turned to look at him again and gave him a soft smile
"Thank you Beau" I told him
"I'm being serious," he said
"I know you are," I said
"You look, upset love, what's wrong?" He asked softly
"Nothing," I told him being pretty serious I thought
"Something is wrong, what is it?" He asked again
He put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me to him, I laid my head on his shoulder and sighed
"Baby what's wrong" he tried again
"Just sad and a little scared" I finally admitted
"Why are you sad?" He asked
"Because I don't want to leave Luna in a few days, I know it's going to hurt her," I said
"Okay, now why are you scared?" He asked
"I'm scared to be a mom" I admitted
I sighed
"I'm scared of being a mom, I'm scared of giving birth, I'm just scared of it all" I added
"Baby you're going to do great, you're already doing great, I know you're scared, it is a little scary but we'll have each other to get through it," he said
I could feel my eyes start to water, beau started to rub his hand up and down my back and kissed the top of my head
"I love you beau" I whispered
"I love you too" he whispered back
