Malarie's POV

"Have you ever gotten a black eye before mama?" Natasha asks curiously while I place the ice pack on Jacob's eye. "Yes I've gotten black eyes before." I honestly answer her, making Jason shift on the bed awkwardly.

"Who gave you a black eye?" Her green eyes stare into my own so very innocently. "This boy I once knew." I keep it simple, readjusting the makeshift ice pack on Jacob's eye.

"Owie momma, it hurts." Jacob squirms in my arms, wanting to get away from me. "Can you please stop moving so I can make the boo boo on your eye go down." He nods, complying with me.

Long story short, Jason was woken up early by the kids this morning, so he decided to chase them around the suite. Only causing Jacob to crash into a door knob, hitting his right eye. Piercing screams had woke me up from my deep slumber, only to hear them terribly being muffled. Jason was trying to keep his cries quiet, but as a mother I hear every single thing. I know when one of my babies are hurt, and when they're just whining. It's a different cry for everything. Clearly Jacob's cries were because he was hurt of some sort.

When I got to the kitchen his eye was already swelling, and turning a bruising color. As well as having a tiny cut under his eye. I was quite pissed off at Jason for letting it happen. All he could say was, 'Jacob's a boy, boys get hurt. You have to stop babying him'. The hell I won't stop babying him... he's our three year old son. He was called an 'asshole' in front of our children, and I didn't care. He plays with our kids way too much, that's why Jake gotten hurt. I of course didn't get off the hook for calling him that, he blamed me for not waking up when they were running around. At that point I had to walk away from his stupidity. He never wants to take ownership of his actions.

"Why didn't daddy beat that boy up, mama?" Natasha leans on my shoulder as I continue to ice my baby boy's swollen eye. "Hmm, I really don't know why he didn't beat that boy up. Maybe he couldn't control himse- him." I turn my attention to Jason, as he stares intensively at me. He definitely caught my double interpretation.

"Dad you should've beat him up for mommy. Then she wou-" I cover up Miss Talk a lots mouth, shaking my head at her. "Let's be quiet so we won't wake up your baby brother and sister, your dad so nicely put asleep." She nods, as I look at Jason glaring at me. I roll my eyes at his childishness, he brought it upon himself.

"Your little double meanings you're telling our daughter isn't cool, I suggest you stop using them Malarie." He pokes my thigh firmly, only making me inwardly scoff at his cute, stupid face. "They're true, I don't know why you don't like me talking about it. You act like I'm bashing you, all I'm doing is telling our daughter the truth... about that boy giving me a black eye." I speak lowly and calmly, still icing Jacob's eye.

Thankfully our children doesn't understand anything about what we're talking about, so they just continue to watch a cartoon show provided by the hotel. Clearly Jason's mad about me telling our daughter about him abusing me. But I don't see why, I've never said his name or said it was him. He's lucky I kept it confidential, some women tell their children about stuff like that. Hell, my parents don't even know how badly he's beaten me before. They only know about me getting slapped or shoved. I couldn't own up to tell them about everything else. Especially the rape I endured early on in our relationship.

"You're so annoying." He mumbles under his breath, though I ignore it because he'll most likely apologize to me later. "Likewise Jase, likewise." I respond, taking the ice pack off Jacob's eye.

"All better momma?" Jacob touches his little eyelid, wincing at painful feeling, I'm guessing. "Be careful baby, it's not all better yet." He pokes out his lips sadly, only making me chuckle and giving him many kisses.
