chapter thirty one~ why does this always happen

Charlie's POV
Meghan and I drove to her moms house. We walked in and stood there.
"Meghan honey!" Keli said.
"Hi mom".
"I was so worried about you!" She said, crying into my shoulder.
"Mom, I'm okay now".
She nodded and ran back into the kitchen. I went in my room. It had my old bed in it, which I barely fit in.
"Well, we made it through all these incidents" Charlie mumbled.
I kissed him. He kissed back. He pushed me up against the wall and I wrapped my legs around him. My hands wandered on his head.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Ryan yelled.
We pulled apart and Charlie let me down from the wall.
I forgot to tell Ryan we were, together.
"Oh, hey Ryan" I mumbled.
"Get out of the way Meghan" Ryan said as he pushed me aside.
I stumbled onto the wall.
"You messing with her puth?" Ryan said with pure anger.
"No, your getting this all wrong" Charlie said nervously.
"Don't tell me what I'm doing wrong! I don't want you to touch my sibling one bit!" Ryan yelled loudly.
"Please-
"don't say anything. Have I made myself clear puth?"
Charlie didn't answer, he was in pure fear of what would happen next.
"have I made myself fucking clear!" Ryan shouted.
Charlie didn't answer again. He knew what would happen to him, and he'd rather get punched three times.
"You made the wrong choice puth" Ryan mumbled.
"Ryan! Please don't hurt him!" I yelled, sobbing a bit.
"BACK OFF MEG!" Ryan yelled.
He clenched his fist and punched Charlie in the face. Charlie was knocked out.
"Ryan! What the fuck have you done!" I sobbed.
"Meg, I told you to back out of this".
The last thing I remember was landing on the floor, and blackness.
Charlie's POV
I woke up. My head pounded. I couldn't move, I didn't have the strength. I squinted my eyes open.
"Oh, your awake Charlie" I heard a familiar voice say.
I closed my eyes again. The pain in my head hurts. I opened my eyes again. I saw Kelli. She sat on the side of the bed next to me. She patted and ice pack on my eye and chin and head.
"It's going to be okay Charlie" she said.
"What happened to me" I replied.
"You were hit pretty hard, that's what happened".
It was silent for a few minutes. The pain in my head went away for some reason.
"Charlie, Ryan was sent to jail for ten years for hitting Meghan, and you of course".
"Wait, Meghan" I thought to myself.
I quickly sat up. I looked around in fear.
"Where is she Kelli" I asked nervously.
"She's in the other room, she's being cared for by Mikaela".
I ran into the room. My sister wasn't in there, so I went in and closed the door lightly behind me.
"Meghan" I said while kneeling down beside the bed.
"Charlie" she said softly.
She grasped my hand tight. She opened her eyes all the way.
"I love you" Meghan mumbled.
"I love you too Meg" I said nervously.
She sat up.
"I don't feel pain" she said.
"Good" I replied.
The door opened. Mikaela entered the room.
"How is she?" She asked me.
"She doesn't feel pain" I replied.
"Oh good. I'll leave you two alone then." Mikaela said before walking out.
"Charlie. Why does it have to be like this every day" meghan asked, sniffling a bit.
"I don't know Meg. But we will always make it through them together" I replied.
"Charlie, may I talk to you?" Kelli said.
I nodded and followed her out of the room.
"What?"
"Well, on Saturday, which is tomorrow, we will have your wedding all set up" Kelli said with a smile.
"What? You don't have to give us a huge wedding" I replied.
"Yes we do. Mikaela is going to take Meghan wedding dress shopping. And we'll be setting up the whole thing in the church, and the after party" Kelli said excitedly.
I didn't know we were going to have a huge wedding. Meghan is going to love it.
"Really, thank you Kelli, for all you've done for Meghan and I".
"Your welcome" she replied.
I walked back in to where Meghan was resting.
"Meghan, we're going to have a wedding" I said, letting a tear drop.
Meghan became wide eyed. She let a few tears drop.
"I love you so much Charlie".
