Mikaelas POV
I was the only one who stayed with Meghan over night at the hospital. She hurt her ankle pretty bad, and she was out the whole time since she hit her head pretty hard too. She was scheduled to wake up any time now. She was moving and stuff, but didn't open her eyes.
"Meg." I said.
I slightly shook her shoulder. I wasn't allowed to do that, but she needed to wake up. She woke up finally, and sighed.
"What?" She asked.
She rubbed her eyes.
"Meg, you've been out for a day." I said.
"Mhm, what?" Meghan uttered.
"You bent your ankle to the point where the bone literally disconnected from the body," I replied.
She looked at me with confusion.
"Okay, I might of exaggerated it. But it's bad, Meg. And you hit your head pretty hard, does it feel okay?"
She nodded.
"Do you remember stuff?"
"Not much." She replied.
Now this, got me worried. What if she forgot, Charlie.
"Meg, what do you remember?" I said nervously.
"A person named Sydney." She replied. And everything going black."
"Do you remember, a man. Named Charles?" I stuttered.
"No, what are you talking about?" She said, sitting up in the bed.
"No no no no no no no no no." I mumbled to myself.
I can't deal with this now.
I picked up Meghan's meds.
"Take these." I said.
"Why?"
"They're gonna help you stay healthy, basically alive." I replied.
She looked kinda scared now, since I just said that and I'm worried about somebody she doesn't know. Well, used to know.
Okay, I just have to get her to remember. But if this backfires, I don't know what will happen.
I called Kelli on my cell and stepped out of my room.
"Kelli, hi." I said into the phone.
"How's Meg?" She asked.
"She just woke up,"
"That's good! I'll be there soon then."
"No, you don't understand. Something bad happened. She forgot everything accept for her falling at the rink." I said, biting my fingernails.
"Wait," Kelli said.
Everything paused on the call.
"Don't move. I'll be there in five." She said in a serious tone before hanging up.
I walked back into the hospital room. Meghan was staring into space. She looked so different, felt so different.
"Meg, do you know who- I am?" I said seriously.
"No. Your my nurse though, right?" She replied.
I literally almost started crying. If she doesn't remember me, than how about Stephen and Ryan and- Kelli. Her own family-
Fading in her memory.
Meghan's POV
nothing is making sense to me. This person is asking me questions, and my mind is spinning. I don't seem to remember anything, and my mind is blank. A million thoughts couldn't even fill the blankness. The girl was pacing around the room, with some tears down her eyes.
"Um, ma'am?" I asked.
She stopped where she was and looked straight at me.
"What is truly going on?"
She hesitated. It looked like the truth wasn't what she wanted to tell me.
"Please, I won't tell anybody."
"It's not about secrets, Meghan. It's a horrible truth. If you don't have the mind to grasp the memories from the truth, you won't be able to hear it." The girl whispered in serious tone in my face.
"I don't care how horrible. All I want is pure truth." I said, with a pale face.
More tears started to stream down her cheeks, but she had no expression on her face, it was just- blank.
"All your happiness is in the past, Meghan. All the things you remembered with the truth, is now gone. And nobody has the power to tell it, except the one who had the memories with it. You had the worst times of your life with the truth, and the best times of your life." The girl said.
She looked at my hand. I looked at it as well. A wedding ring was on it.
"Who is the truth?" I asked.

"His name was,
Charlie."
