Chapter 14

Nathan's POV

I took her hand and it felt like she was a lose wire and electricity was coursing through my veins... God I love that feeling. She looked up at me with fear in her eyes and I immediately felt angry with the guy that made her fear people, who made her hurt and I think she must have noticed because I felt her pulse quicken and her hand tremble slightly. I walked her into a little alcove and she sat down on the cross between a bed and a couch. I stood up and drew the curtain

"Open it." She said shakily whilst standing up

"Why?"

"So you can't do anything to me..." I opened it quickly and she sat back down again

"Hey... Hey. I will never hurt you, I promise. Do you trust me?" I said, cupping her face with my hands. She hesitated and moved away slightly

"Yes Nathan." She spoke simply

"Don't say that because you think you have to. Tell me the truth, it's okay."

"No. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! I want to, I swear! I just can't! I'm so sorry." She blubbered, I lifted my arms to hug her and she stumbled backwards shakily

"Don't hurt me." She whispered

"Hey, it's not your fault. You don't have to apologise to me, you've done nothing to apologise for. And I will never ever hurt you. So... Alex, where is he now? And your parents?" She flinched as I said his name so I squeezed her hand gently but she tensed up so I let go

"He's away for the week. My mum also."

"I guess I can see you again then." I smiled.

"I guess."

Siva walked in backwards with his arms wrapped around Stevie as they kissed. He lead her so that they were sat down next to us, they were so engrossed in what they were doing that they didn't notice us sat there. I cleared my throat

"Again? Seriously dude?" I said sarcastically

"What?"

"Look where you're kissing before you practically sit on me!"

"Oh hey, it's bus stop girl! So you two met up!" Stevie exclaimed, waving at me

"Bus stop girl? Aww mate, well done! You finally saw her again!" Stevie winked at me then lead Siva out of the room

"Right. Did you know I star in a movie?" I said, pressing the remote so the TV rose up from the edge of the bed thing, then I pressed play and the Ice Age opening came on. She giggled softly and it was like music to my ears.

About half way through the movie and she yawned

"Thank you, Nathan." She whispered

"For what?"

"For caring." Then she fell asleep on my shoulder. At the end of the movie, I picked her up bridal style and placed her on my spare bunk. She looked like an angel... I tucked her into the blankets gently then crawled into my own bunk directly above her. After about an hour of tossing and turning and generally failing to sleep, I heard Lexi whimper so I hopped down off my bed.

"No... Don't hurt me... Stop... Nathan... Don't..." She muttered in her sleep, her shoulders started shuddering and she whimpered as I placed my hand on her shoulder.
