Chapter 20

This is a very much dialog based chapter

Jay' POV

Nikki guided me through the vast network of corridors until we reached a door that had a sign that said 'Female Staff Changing Room'

"Don't get any ideas. You are sitting out here and I will go change." She said, pushing me gently into a chair and pointing a finger at me. Instinctively, I reached for my phone... Where did it go? Yep, I'd say I've lost around 39 phones... It's not healthy. She appeared about 5 minutes later, her previously pinned up hair was let down and flowed down her back, she wore a sleeveless red bandeau dipped back dress and simple black heels. She looked stunningly beautiful. She wore minimal make up and I loved a natural looking girl. 

I decided not to bother keeping secrets from the fans and the paps a while ago because people always find out and even the best intentions backfire and people get hurt so we just waltzed out the front of the hospital, hand in hand for the whole world to see and to be fair they probably would due to the power of the Internet. Nikki didn't seem too fazed by it all, she just used my back as a human shield to hide from the bright flashing lights of the many cameras. The fans looked slightly shocked and then cheered at bit, much to my amusement. I led her into a taxi and we drove into town 

"You are off tomorrow right?" I asked her

"Yep, you?"

"Yep."

"Why do you ask?"

"Because I don't think you would be the best nurse with the size of the hangover I'm going to give you." I said, grinning

"Oh please, you'll be drunk after 3 pints!" She said laughing, I laughed a moment after attempting to cover up the fact that she was probably right

When we got into the bar I bought a glass of red wine and beer for me. She smiled half-heartedly as she downed the glass

"Did you enjoy that?" I managed to get out while laughing

"Bleh... Tastes like vinegar." She said smiling

"YES! No one gets it!" I pushed my beer forward a bit and she grabbed it immediately and washed the taste out of her mouth

"Come on birdy, let's get something stronger." She said with a devilish grin that paralysed me and all I could think was how perfect she was for me

I walked over to the bar and ordered 20 shots, 10 each and brought the tray over with an equally as evil smile. She took a shot in one hand and my hand in the other. We clinked our glasses together 

"To us." I said and we downed a shot... And another... And another and well you get the pattern. 

Let's just say the following portion of the evening shall not be remembered in the morning.

We made our way onto the dance floor and drunkenly danced around gaining several dirty looks from some of the more sober members of the public. We downed a few more drinks and then things got a bit teary... What?! I'm an emotional drunk! God! And I don't remember anything else but falling asleep and seeing her beautiful smile.

The next morning

"Morning bird." I heard whispered in my ear then I was greeted by the wonderful smell of caffeine. 

"No mum... Can't you watch the unicorn... I'm feeding the leprechaun." I heard a beautiful laugh next to me

"No Jay I most definitely will not watch the unicorn that's your job!" She exclaimed, I opened my eyes slowly and saw Nikki lying next to me, fully clothed in her pajamas. I looked around the unfamiliar room and assumed the sky blue blue bedroom was hers. I took a second just to study her: her tousled bed head, her makeupless face, her cute little pajamas... She was gorgeous.
