The Return of Lachlan Part 2

Dacia

When I woke up I wasn't in the school anymore. I had no idea where I was. I looked around quickly glancing around the room. I sat up and tried to get a sense of where I was and what had happened. The last thing I remembered was coming out of the bathroom at the school. Panic set in that I had missed graduation and my family must be frantic. Momma and Dash would be so worried right now.

I tried to take deep breaths and looked around the room some more. As I looked around I recognized I was at the cabin Lachlan's family owned. So it had to be Lachlan who had taken me. Was he really stupid enough to bring me here? Did he not remember who Ryssa's husband was? He would suggest this place once they figured it out.

I laid back down and pretended to still be out when the door began to open slowly. I heard footsteps come towards the bed and smelled a cologne I didn't know. I had no idea who this was in the room with me. Maybe I was wrong in thinking it was Lachlan.

"Lach she's still out. Maybe you gave her too much," the man said.

"Is she breathing?" I heard Lachlan's voice.

Old fears I thought I had buried rose in my chest. After years of therapy I was still afraid of Lachlan Jonas. He was so intimidating.

"I don't know," the man said.

"Jose, check you idiot," Lachlan yelled.

Jose touched my wrist to feel for a pulse and I tried not to move. I didn't want them knowing I was awake. I was afraid of what Lachlan would do to me if I did. Jose counted under his breath like he was really trying to take my pulse. Maybe he really was an idiot because I was sure Lachlan just wanted to know if I had a pulse not the exact pulse.

"Really dude you are really fucking slow," Lachlan said from the doorway. "Does she have a pulse?"

"Yeah," Jose said in more of a question than an answer.

"Dude you're lucky you're good looking," Lachlan said.

I could just see him rolling his eyes even though mine were still closed. I felt Jose get up off the bed and only when I heard the door shut did I open my eyes again. I wondered what was going on between the two of them. I knew though I needed to get out of this room. My mouth was so dry, like that time I had a hangover after Dash and I drank the bottle of Wild Turkey. I still didn't remember everything that happened that night.

I swung my legs over the bed and sat there for a minute trying to ward off the dizzy spell that hit me. I rolled my neck a few times and got up slowly. I put my hand on the door to exit the room but I listened to what was going on outside the door first. I could hear the TV in the other room. I turned the knob and opened the door slowly. The door opened into the living room and I gasped at what I saw.

Lachlan was sitting on the couch and Jose was straddling him. They were kissing. Lachlan put his hands on Jose's butt and pulled him closer. I couldn't move. All I could do was stand there and watch. I had seen Cameron and Embry kiss before but I knew they were gay. Was Lachlan gay all of a sudden? It certainly would explain a lot.

Jose pulled away from the kiss and started kissing Lachlan's neck. Lachlan opened his eyes and made eye contact with me. He pushed Jose off his lap and he landed with a thud on the floor. He stalked towards me and I tried not to cringe even though it was my first reaction around him since that day he hit me.

"How fucking long have standing there?" he asked me.

I could feel his breath on my face he was so close to me. I planted my feet and stood my ground. I just stared back at him and didn't answer. I knew challenging him wouldn't end well for me but I wasn't sure how far he would take it in front of his new boyfriend. I found out as he grabbed the back of my hair and yanked my head back. Even though it hurt like hell I didn't say a word or let my fear show in my face.

"Answer my fucking question!" he yelled.

"You know you are worse than Romeo with that word," I said.

"This is about what you saw not your fag cousin," Lachlan said.

"Wait so you're calling my cousin a fag when you were just making out with a guy?" I laughed.

"For your information I am transgender. I still have girl parts!" Jose said snapping his fingers.

"Prove it," I answered.

Jose started to undo his pants to show me and that was when Lachlan hit me. The last thing I heard was Jose saying, "Lach you didn't have to hit her."

Dash

I stood outside the school auditorium talking to the police. No one was allowed to leave the school. All the graduates and their families were literally stuck in the auditorium. They were questioning everyone and taking it very seriously because many of the cops on the force knew the Lynch family. I was trying to answer all the cop's questions but all I wanted to do was find Dacia.

"Wait," Rydel said coming up behind me. "A few years ago I put a tracker on the kids cell phones. Dacia's is on."

Liam and Ryssa were standing a few inches from us and came over. Like me, Liam suspected Lachlan was behind this but no one knew where he was at the moment. He had apparently been off the grid for some time. He hadn't even come to Lance and Becky's engagement party. No one in the family had seen him in almost six months.

"Wait I know where this is," Liam said. "We used to go there as children. It's up near Crystal Lake."

"Let's go! You drive!" I said handing him my car keys.

"Sir we don't recommend you go there alone," the cop said.

I turned to look at him. "I am going to find my fiancée and you can follow me or you can stand here and spin your wheels."

"Sir I am an officer of the law and there are protocols in situations like this," the cop shot back.

"No offense but fuck your protocol. You don't understand what Lachlan Jonas is capable of," I said as I turned running from the building and Liam close behind me.

Liam sped down the road towards the cabin and the cop behind us didn't dare stop him. I was glad the cop had decided to follow us because I was afraid of what I would do to Lachlan once we got to the cabin. We finally made it to Crystal Lake and found Lachlan's truck parked outside one of the cabins. I thought about how stupid he was for using his own vehicle to kidnap someone. I jumped out of the car before Liam even came to a complete stop. I kicked in the door and was greeted by a strange man I didn't know.

"You must be Dash," the man said. "Stupid name if you ask me."

"DACIA!" I yelled.

I could hear mumbling from the back of the cabin almost like someone was gagged. I heard the fat cop huffing and puffing behind me. If it had been any other situation I probably would have laughed but I just couldn't right now.

"Where is Dacia?" I asked the man.

I'm Jose by the way," he said.

"I could care less who you are! WHERE THE FUCK IS MY FIANCEE?" I yelled.

"She's kind of indisposed at the moment," the little Hispanic freak said.

I rushed to the back of the cabin as fast as I could. I had no idea what he was talking about but I was going to find out. I kicked in the door to the room where I heard the muffled sounds. Lachlan had Dacia pinned to the bed and she was kicking trying to fight to spite the fact he was twice her size. I didn't think I just lunged at Lachlan. I grabbed him by the back of his shirt and threw him to the floor. Pure adrenaline was pumping through my veins. He got up quickly and threw a punch at me which I blocked. I could hear Dacia behind me crying and it just fueled my anger. I swung at Lachlan and made contact with his nose. I heard it crunch and he stumbled backwards. Liam swept his foot under Lachlan's feet and tripped him.

As the fat cop was pulling Lachlan from the floor, I turned and focused on Dacia. She was sitting on the bed with her knees pulled up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them rocking. Tears were streaming down her face. I sat down on the bed and she rushed into my arms. Her crying turned to sobbing and I just sat there and held her, telling her things like she was safe now and I wouldn't let anything happen to her. I couldn't let myself think about what would have happened if I had been only a few seconds slower.
