Y/N POV

"Wake up! Wake uppppp!" I whined, eagerly shaking my parents arms. "It's Christmas!"

Today, I decided to spend my Christmas with my family instead of staying at Hogwarts. I thought it would be fair to them, and I couldn't help but be curious as to what they got me.

"Okay! Okay!" My mother complied, her gentle voice letting out a soft laugh as she rubbed her eyes open.

Like the eager child I was, I broke into a sprint down the large spiral staircase, carefully making sure I didn't slip, and took a seat in front of the extravagantly large Christmas Tree.

My mother and father soon followed, their faces groggy but a faint smile beaming on each of their tired features. They both took a seat on the couch and watched their daughter jump excitedly.

"Go on, open one." My father allowed, gesturing to the wrapped gifts laying under the tree.

I nodded and looked around, eying each gift. Without hesitation, I picked the one wrapped in gold, which was placed in the very front. After reading the name card, I noticed that the gift was from Harry, who had given me a golden snitch necklace, embedded with gold gems. It was incredibly beautiful, and I immediately placed it on my neck in admiration.

As for Ron Weasley, the red-haired boy got me a pack of Every Flavor Beans from Honeydukes. I told him I had never tried them, so when I opened the gift I couldn't help but giggle.

Hermione Granger decided to get me one of her favorite books, "Hogwarts: A History", and I grinned.

As for my Mother and Father, the two had given me a large book of spells, to which I shrieked and thanked them greatly. I was always excited to learn new spells.

The sweater in the brown paper box had that home-knit look, and when pulling the large piece of clothing out, I couldn't help but smile at the engraved letters in the center of the sweater. It was no doubt from the all-too-kind Mrs. Weasley.

As I picked the clothing up and turned it over, I let my eyes roam over every stitch so lovingly made. Mrs. Weasley was truly an incredibly kind woman. I made sure to write her in thanks.

It was by other friend, Seamus Finnigan, who gave me a Wizards Chess Set. I had never learned how to play, and I smiled as I read the card in the package.

Now we can play together!
Merry Christmas, Y/N

It gave me great shock when I pulled out my final gift, wrapped in silver paper, and a marked tag that read the name: Draco Malfoy. It was a letter, and I didn't hesitate to open it whilst lifting my eyebrow suspiciously.

Dear Y/N,

I know we aren't exactly friends, but I wanted to say Merry Christmas. Oh, and by the way, I am certain that Slytherin is going to beat Gryffindor in Quidditch this year. Now that I'm going to be on the team, Gryffindor has no chance. Anyways, hope you have a good holiday.
