Chapter 9/ the panic attack

Chapter 9/ the panic attack

After watching Finn leave my house I went back inside and made a bologna sandwich, my favorite! My mom was out working and my dad was watching tv so I went over to the living room and plopped on the couch. "Watcha watching old man" I said laughing and he sighed and replyed "tennis Tate I'm watching tennis". I slit off the couch in a dramatic way "no funnnnn....." I went up to my room. My brother was playing video games so I did not bother him. I decided to go swimming in the lake nearby since I was so bored so I grabbed my bag and put in my swimsuit. "Bye dad" "bye sweetie" that was a fast conversation. Whatever. I walked out side and rode my bike to the lake. I don't swim much so I was skittle nervous, I know I'm 14 but I'm not the best of swimmer but whatevs. I just sunbathed for awhile and got a little tan.

45 min later.
This sun is drying out my skin! I'm gonna go swim. It was getting a little dark but just perfect, I felt majestic almost ahha. I slid off my towel and went into the water. WOW SO COLD. It was much colder then I expected, obviously! I went in deeper and just went underwater. I felt hands grabbing me and pulling me under! No it's not real, it's just a panic attack right? No it's real! The hands were pulling me deep, I was screaming and crying yelling "please stop!" I felt more hands grab my waist and pull me "let go!" "It's just me, Finn! Tate calm down!" He pulled me to shore and I cried, I could not help it. "I'm so s-sorry Finn" I whispered and he put his arm around me. "It's okay you just had a panic attack, it's a good thing I heard you screaming." I felt completely vunurable.

Finns POV:
Few, I thought she was getting Kidnapped or worse killed! I'm happy she's okay. I wonder why she had a panic attack? Her being in my arms feels so right....

Back to normal
As soon as I calmed down Finn walked me home. "Oh, Tate if you need anything please come over, ok?" Finn said smiling hugging me. "Ok" I replied going inside my house watching Finn leave. "Tate why are you so late we were worried sick!" My mom and dad yell. I did not want to tell them about what happened so I made up an excuse. "Well if dad would have let me let him where I was it would not matter, I was at school helping the teachers set up a new class room." I said lying, gosh I hate Lying. My mom gave my dad and an angry look and he just shrugged. "Whatever I'm going to bed" I said and started walking upstairs. "Wait what about dinn-" I cut my mom off, "I'm not hungry" I said and went upstairs. I changed and took a bath, I needed the relaxation. I hopped into bed and Could not fall asleep but, Finn said if I needed anything I could come over, and I wanted him right now. Sounds cliche but I did, I really did. I got up and fixed my hair. That's it, I'm going to Finns house to tell him how I feel!"
