The van quickly arrived at Big Hit Entertainment. We all got escorted inside the building. As we reached the top floor, I dragged Jisoo by the arm into a closet.
'Jisoo, we need to talk. Why the hell did your brother shoot Jennie?' I asked.
Jisoo dropped her head as she whispered, 'my older brother is a troubled teenager. Amber, he's homeless and has no money. Recently, I heard from my mother that he started working for this gang. She said that he was happy because he earned a lot of money.'
'This gang?'
'Yeah, there's a dangerous gang in town. They're known for killing innocent people. The police are running after them but they're tough people to catch.'
'Okay, but why do they kill random people?'
'Not just random people, Amber. They kill for revenge.'
I furrowed my eyebrows and said, 'revenge? What did Jennie ever do?'
'I don't know, Amber. All I know is that my brother is involved. I'm sorry, I should have stopped him, now Jennie going to die,' Jisoo wept.
I wrapped my arms around her tightly.
'Jennie's not going to die, Jisoo. She's the strongest person I know.'
Jisoo nodded and wiped her tears.
'One more question, why are you telling me all this?' I asked.
'I told you because you can help me,' Jisoo said while holding my hands.
'How?'
'You've dealt with depression before right?'
'Yeah, when my brother passed away,' I said.
'Since you overcame your addiction, you could help my brother overcome his addiction. You could also convince him to stop working for this gang,' Jisoo said.
I understand now.
'That's why I told you. Can you help me, Amber? This is not only for my brother but for everyone,' Jisoo said.
It was the right thing to do so I slowly nodded.
'Thank you, Amber.' Jisoo smiled.
Don't thank me yet.
