15. My Girls

'Jennie Kim is in room 5B.'

I looked around to white. White clothed patients, white walls and floors and white furniture.

Rose pointed out the room 5B. We all entered quietly.

My breath got caught in my throat when I saw her.

Jennie's pale face blended with the white hospital gown she wore. She had several tubes inserted inside her. A huge white bandage covering her stomach. She looked lifeless. 

'Guys, look!' Lisa exclaimed.

'She's waking up.'

- JENNIE'S POV -

My eyelids hesitantly opened. There was nothing but white light. I felt my body being restrained. My head was thumping irregularly.

Where am I?

As my surroundings started to become clear, I saw the girls sitting around me. 

When I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, I knew what had happened.

'She looks like she's in pain, should I call the nurse?'

I faintly hear a panicked voice. I turn my head to see Dahyun leaving the room.

'Jennie?'

I turned my head to see Jihyo.

'How are you doing? Do you feel better?' She asked.

'I'm fine. What happened?' I croaked.

The girls started looking at one another. All eyes landed on Amber as she sighed.

'Jennie, you got shot,' Amber said trying to act calm.

I remained frozen. My eyes started getting teary. 

'I'm sorry, Jennie. This should have never happened to you,' Amber said.

Just then, the room was filled with Jisoo's sobbing. She held my hand and looked at me with sorrowful and regretful eyes.

'Jennie, I'm so sorry,' she exclaimed.

I started getting nervous, I had a weird feeling about Jisoo's sudden outburst.

'Jennie, calm down,' Lisa said looking at my body.

I didn't notice when a red substance started appearing on my white bandage.

My wound reopened.

Soon, the blood seeped into the bed sheets.

'Oh, my god,' Rose said holding onto Lisa.

Jisoo remained by my side with endless tears cascading down her face. 

Soon enough, the nurses and doctors arrived.

But, it was too late.

I started losing my eyesight and I felt light-headed. 

Is this the end? Am I going to die? Is it time to say goodbye to the world?

I felt Jisoo's grip go free when she was pushed out of the room along side with the others.

No, don't leave me.

Stay. Stay. Stay with me.

The doctors surrounded me as they inspected my wound. I felt a needle in my arm.

My eyes quickly felt heavy.

This was the end.

Goodbye world.

Goodbye Lionne.

I love you all.
