song: be a better you by V rose.

#Entry 1# March 24th, 2020
My name is Rose Turner, I'm seventeen and...lost.
Everything was fine until dad died and my best friend, during the worst moment of my life, left me for good.

Things turned downhill from there. Mom started working late at first then it got worse.

She brought in a guy whose only aim was to see me break.
He'd tried so many ways to harm me, and most times he succeeded.

I was either always left with broken bones or a bruised body.

And not even once did my mom inquire further after telling her, "I fell mom. " or "I hit my head on the way home."

She would only nod and go about her usual business.

School hadn't been any different.
The students made me feel insignificant and even more insecure.
I had been content with merging with the background, until Joe showed up.

Then my life really fell apart. I could no longer be invisible and people I knew and didn't know we're all out to get me.

I went from a girl who had a perfect friend, parents and a decent life to a girl who had nothing.

There had been no escape. Until the night I saw that note 📝.

"Your worries are known. "

Something changed that day.
I didn't particularly know how, but something did.

I was so depressed, unhappy. Nothing felt great, not my home, not my job and definitely not school. I thought, this was it. It was going to be like this forever, the loneliness, the sadness, the fear, rejection, well that is until He came.

I never really understood who God is. I thought, he was just a big guy in the sky who dictated things, like life and death and stuff. But...

He's so much more now...now He is my Dad. 😃

This is literally my first smile in a while...

"Rose!"

"Rose please open the door. " The person in the other end begged frantically.

"Michael? " Another wave of darkness hit her as she stood up. She managed to open the door. Then everything went dark.

*******
Groaning, she turned to the right, her eyes closed. She felt terrible. Had she fainted? It sure seemed like it.

Rose's lids were heavy, probably because of the drugs. She sighed internally, just great.

She knew she was in the hospital, it sure smelled like it. She never liked it, and the air was always cold.

Good thing she had sheets covering her. She didn't want to remember why she was there in the first place.

She wasn't going to think about it
She was going to be stronger than that. She was very soft hearted and very emotional but she would take it a day at a time.

She groaned softly, managing to sit up. She scanned the room and she wanted to hide the fact that it hurt her that no one was there, but the disappointment was clear on her face.

No one stood or sat by her. She closed her eyes. She understood if Michael couldn't make it, he'd done so much already. She couldn't be his only friend. She didn't want to be a burden.
