Kai looked at himself in the mirror He had a white shirt, black pants, and a royal blue sash with white doves on it. Selene was behind him pulling her hair in a ponytail and adorning it with a small blue hair clip. She then put a necklace on that had a half diamond (representing human half of her) and half metal (representing cyborg half of her). Kai got it for her when they got back to the Commonwealth upon their engagement. Kai loved the way it matched her kimono. She looked extremely elegant in the blue trimmed with white dress. It hugged every curve, and she looked like an angel (according to Kai). It didn't matter to him whatever anyone else said. He soon got a call, and he sadly had to stop staring at his beautiful wife-to-be. "Who was that?" Selene asked, applying eye shadow to her eyes.

"Oh, that was someone telling me we could arrive any time now. All of the guests are there."

"Oh, okay."

"Why, afraid that was my other girlfriend?"

"No! Why on Luna would I think that?" Selene said putting in royal blue earrings that matched her dress.

"I dunno, because you tend to be nervous about those kinds of things.

"Or is it a guilty conscience?"Selene said, smirking. She accepted Kai's arm as they left the small sitting room.

"I dunno," Kai said, returning the smirk. Selene playfully shoved him as they got into the hover. As Selene got in, Kai kissed her. When they ended the kiss, Selene looked up, and buckled her seat belt.

"What, my fine emperor, was that for?"

"Well, that was for shoving me," Kai said, a playful grin forming at his lips. Before he could do anything more, Selene said "Wire cutters," and he immediately stopped his shenanigans. "Good," she said, letting him go. Kai bowed his head apologetically, and held her hand. Then, out of nowhere, he captured her in another kiss, and this one lasted much longer. When this one ended, Selene gave Kai the death stare, and playfully punched him with her metal hand. "Ouch, Am I really that bad of a kisser?" Selene laughed as they pulled up near the ballroom. As they entered, they were met with reporters and photographers, who wanted to get questions answered. The couple ignored them completely, and headed to the podium at the balcony where they would give their speeches. Kai glanced down to read his note cards as the couple was being introduced. Selene smiled. She didn't have to read off of any note cards. She compiled her speech in her head, adding things as she went along. Finally, everyone turned their attention to the balcony that overlooked them. Selene, from her position behind Kai, could see Adri and Pearl standing amongst all of the people. Adri glared at her former stepdaughter with hatred, and Selene gratefully returned the look. Kai cleared his throat, and started the speech. "Good people of earth, as your emperor, I would like to thank you personally, for coming to this wondrous occasion. I would also like to thank all of the revolution heroes, big and small, for making this celebration of worldly peace. And with that said, I will hand this over, to one of those outstanding revolution heroes. Please welcome Ambassador Lihn- Blackburn!" Selene stepped up to the podium,

"Thank you, Your Majesty, for that wonderful introduction. And I would also personally extend a thank you to all of the Lunars and cyborgs who came to this celebration. And, of course, the revolution heroes who did the most to ensure world peace. That will be all, thank you." And she she exited the balcony, hand in hand with Kai, where she belonged. This is one of the only places she felt safe. She felt safe from the worry and distresses that followed her being queen. Kai made her feel as though she was safe at last from Adri and Pearl. Soon, she was snapped back into reality when the cold rain hit her. They were outside, where Selene fell two years ago. It felt like ages since that happened, but, when she was standing in the cold rain, staring at Kai, it felt like yesterday. As the crowd gathered outside, Selene noticed once again Pearl and Adri, but this time a man was with them, with a baby girl on Pearl's hip. The man held an umbrella for the three of them. Hmm Pearl is married. Why am I shocked? Selene turned her attention to the only one that mattered. Kai. Kai, the one who was standing in the rain, so he could fix all of the mistakes that happened on these stairs. Kai, the one who would soon be her husband. Finally, when he felt a large enough crowd had gathered, Kai got down on one knee, and proposed to Selene. "Selene, I love you more than the stars would ever know. Stars, I love you more than even I know. Each day, I learn something more about you. So, today, do you think, I could learn how much you love me, by answering this question?" Selene nodded her head, as murmurs rippled throughout the crowd. "Selene Channery Jannali Blackburn, will you marry me?" Selene found it hard to speak, but she did, and she said

"Kai, you will never know the amount of love I have for you, but you can try, because, yes Kai, I will marry you." Kai once again placed the ring on her finger, and hugged her and kissed her with all of the love he had for her. The crowd erupted in happy cheers as the couple was led into the dry ballroom for some dances. Kai had the DJ put on Over and Over Again  by Nathan Sykes. Kai, as soon as he heard the song, he knew it was for them. So, he asked that the dude put it on, just for that dance. Selene smiled as it was turned on, and knew it just like Kai did, This, was forever going to be their song. As soon as the song ended, the couple regretfully parted ways as Kai was  to get ready to swear Selene in as a future empress. She played with the diamond on her finger as Kai started the speech. After that, Selene was to take an oath of secrecy so that she could join in on global leaders meetings as soon as possible. When that was done, Selene had one final embrace with Kai before she was whisked away by Lunar and Earthen representatives. When that was done, she danced with each of the Rampion crew guys, while Kai danced with the girls. And, as soon as the night had begun, it ended. But, with a way better ending than the first time she was here. And the funny things was, the best and worst times happened on those stairs, in the rain.
