1. Nothing But A Wreck

SHREYA WOKE UP to the sound of her alarm buzzing. Groaning, she switched it off and reluctantly pulled the duvets away from her body and walked towards the washroom. Taking a quick shower, she changed into her gym clothes. Tying her hair in a neat bun, she grabbed her headphones and phone before making her way out of her room.

She entered the living room to find Saloni, her younger sister studying on the couch.

"Good morning, Di!", Saloni said yawning as she looked up from her book.

"Morning, honey! Do you want coffee?", Shreya asked arching her eyebrow.

"Yes please", Saloni replied before burying her head in the book yet again.

Shreya went inside the kitchen and prepared coffee for Saloni. Once the coffee was brewed, she poured it in a mug and made her way towards the living room.

"Thanks di!", Saloni said as Shreya offered her the coffee mug.

Shreya nodded and made her way out of the house. Since it was a Sunday she was glad, she could workout for 3 hours today. In the evening she had to attend her best friend, Jai's wedding. He was getting married with the girl he met at some coffee shop.

Five years ago, Diksha Malhotra had spilled hot coffee over her best friend’s shirt and that's how their love story had started. Cliché! She knew but she was so happy for both of them. Atleast someone had found their true love, she thought. They were dating each other from past four years and were finally getting married now.

She didn't realise that she had reached in the lobby. Walking towards her car, she unlocked it and hopped inside it. Fastening the seat belt, she twisted the keys and took off in the direction of gym.

AFTER THREE HOURS of non stop work out, she was finally home. Her mother, Parul Chauhan was busy in the kitchen whereas her dad, Prem Chauhan was engrossed in reading the newspaper. Her twin brother, Shaurya and her younger sibling, Saloni couldn’t be seen anywhere in the apartment. Not bothering to talk to her parents, she went straight inside her room.

Taking a nice shower she changed into a yellow kurti and blue jeans. Since she was free, she decided to go and check on her siblings only to realise they were not in their rooms.

"Mom! Where is Shaurya and Saloni?", Shreya asked loudly from the living room.

"No idea! I guess they will be in the society compound", Parul yelled back.

  “Alright”

Before leaving the apartment, Shreya wore her flip-flops and grabbed her phone. Since they lived on the second floor, she decided to use the stairs rather than the elevator. Like Parul had said, Shreya had managed to find both her siblings in the compound sitting under the hot sun.

She made her way towards them and stood in front of Shaurya with her right hand placed on her hips. He looked up at her and gave her the broadest grin in the world.
