15. Creeping Inside Her Heart

          SHREYA WALKED OUT of the washroom with a towel around her hair. She had dressed up in a blue anarkali since they were heading back to Mumbai today. She applied minimal makeup and vermillion on her forehead.

Aarav was still sleeping like a baby. Yes finally he had decided to sleep on the bed. They were sharing the bed now. Aarav slept on the left side while Shreya slept on the right side of the bed.

The buzzing of the phone got Shreya's attention. She went towards the bedside table and checked the caller id. It was Aanchal. Sliding the answer option, Shreya answered the call.

"Good morning, Di!", Shreya chirped.

"Good morning!!!", she heard a unison voice.

"Okay... it seems like the phone is on speaker", Shreya said.

"Yeah, we miss you!", Forum said from the other end.

"Where is our Romeo?", Rishabh asked.

"Aww... I miss you too, Forum Di! And well your Romeo...", Shreya said glancing at a sleeping Aarav "is still sleeping"

"What? Doesn't he have work today?", Shweta asked.

"Maa, is that you?", Shreya asked.

"Yes dear but can I know why Aarav is still in bed?", Shweta asked.

"Wo Maa actually mujhe shopping jaana tha so... Aarav ne leave li hai office se", Shreya half lied.

( I wanted to go for shopping so Aarav took a leave from office )

"Leave, huh? Hum se bola office mein bahot kaam hai so busy hu and yaha Bhai Sahab shopping mein busy hai ", Neil teased.

( He told us there's too much of work in office so he's busy when in reality this Mister is busy in shopping )

"Neil jiju, it's not like that!", Shreya protested "Ruko aap unse hi baat karo"

( Wait you talk to him only! )

Shreya shook Aarav vigorously while in Mumbai the Shah family silently snickered on the phone as they were all set to tease the newly weds.

"What the hell, woman! Who on the earth wakes up anyone like this?!", Aarav yelled.

Shreya signalled him to keep quiet but Aarav simply ignored it.

"I swear who ever said that getting married is the worst thing in life was truly right", Aarav mumbled.

"Mr Aarav Shah, what did you just say?", Shreya asked narrowing her eyes at him.

"Nothing!", Aarav said with wide eyes.

"Oh no mister! I heard what you said!", Shreya said glaring at him.

"I was saying getting married is the best decision a man could ever make", Aarav said rephrasing his earlier line.

"Ohh really? Then why did I hear something along the lines 'marriage is a man's worst mistake'?", Shreya asked raising her eyebrow.

"Oh no! I'm sure you heard wrong, my dear wife", Aarav said innocently.

"Oh my dear hubby", Shreya said smiling sweetly as she caught Aarav's ears and twisted them a little "my ears are working perfectly fine"

"Shrey! Shit! Ow! It hurts woman! I'm sorry! Leave my ear please! Rahem karo iss bacche par!"
