Jamie's P.O.V.

Nicole was hustling to get ready because she slept in late.

"Where are my shoes?" she yelled.

"On your feet!" I mimicked in yelling.

"Oh, yeah." I laughed.

"You've got everything. You're good," I told her.

"My phone! I have to get that. I'm going to tell Riker to take you on a date. Three months without a date is crazy," she said while walking to get her phone.

"You don't have to!" I yelled. She walked around the corner.

"I want to. I'm not going to watch a baby just so you two can go on dates."

"Thanks."

"I'm kidding! I will watch your baby, so you two can go away for months, but don't do that."

"I wouldn't plan on it," I said.

"Okay! I have to go. I'm officially late," Nicole said.

"Bye! Have fun," I said. She left. I grabbed my phone. I texted Rydel.

To Rydel: "Are you doing anything today?"

From Rydel: "No. What's up?"

To Rydel: "Nicole had to go to work. Want to come over?"

From Rydel: "Sure! I have to ask you about some things anyway."

To Rydel: "Should I be scared?"

From Rydel: "Not at all. I'll be there in a minute."

I put my phone down. I walked into my room and put on clothes. I walked out and went to the kitchen. I made a bowl of cereal. I sat down and began to eat. My phone went off, and it was Rydel.

From Rydel: "I had to do something. I'm leaving now."

To Rydel: "Okay!(:"

I finished eating my cereal and played games on my phone. A little but later, Rydel arrived. She knocked on the door and I answered. She gave me a hug.

"How did everything go?" she asked.

"Riker didn't tell you?" I asked.

"He told me from his point of view. I want to know yours."

"It went good. My dad was upset at first, but there isn't anything we can do," I said.

"What is the deal about your parents moving down here?" Rydel asked.

"Ugh. I don't know. I don't think they will. They like to talk. They don't have the money to move," I said.

"Good because Riker said that you two would have to buy a house."

"Because of his 'plan'. It's fine. We won't have to worry about my parents."

"That's good. Riker told me about the adoption thing. Do you really want to do that?" I got mad that Riker told her that. He wasn't supposed to.

"He told you?" I huffed. Rydel's eyes grew wide.

"Was he not supposed to?" she asked.

"No! I didn't even tell Nicole! Who else did Riker tell?"

"He told me in private." I rolled my eyes of anger.

"I'm not going to tell anyone. I promise. You can trust me."

"I know that I can trust you. Riker just made me mad. I thought that I could trust him." We sat in silence for a minute.

"If you don't mind me asking, why did you say it?"
