my breath hitched when i heard the doorknob unlock.

the door swung open and and i had an awkward smile on my face.

"hey... taehyung." he said. i was, in a way, happy that i wasn't the only one feeling uncomfortable.

"hi..." he looked down stood there for a bit until he looked up with a little more confidence.

"do you want to come in?" he said finally.

"okay— oh!" i pulled out the bag hidden behind my legs. "i brought pepperoni pizza." i grinned.

"oh great, thanks!" he finally smiled at me, his award winning bunny smile.

we sat on the couch and put the pizza on the coffee table.

"so, um, what happened earlier?" i asked. i noticed that his eyes seemed a little puffier than earlier.

"ah, i... forgot that there would be a new episode showing today." he said with hesitation.

"oh, no worries. i've ditched my friends for a new episode before." i laughed at the memory. jin was so pissed the next day.

he laughed with me and i then decided that i liked laughing with him a million times more than arguing with him.

"so... the new episode is the only reason?" maybe he was crying because of the episode after all.

"yeah, don't worry about it." he seemed fine... i guess. either way, i was in no position to push him to tell me.

we once again sat in silence, eating pizza unsure of what to say.

i can't wait till the day we can sit down and be real friends...

i held in a small smile and looked up.

"hey, wasn't i supposed to meet your cousin today?" he asked breaking the fragile silence.

"oh, right." i remembered getting a call from hyejin during my break, but all i heard was yelling and the occasional 'jungkookie' so i decided to hang up in hope that jungkook would keep his promise. "she's still in school right now, we still have until 5pm because she has piano after school." i explained.

he nodded at me and stood to  throw away the empty paper plates and napkins.

i was waiting on the couch when my phone started ringing.

"you make me begin~" i hit accept and heard jungkook drop the plates. i turned to look at the kitchen area.

"i'm fine!" he called from his crouching position. i chuckled lightly and put my phone to my ear.

"hey, jimin!" i said happily. my good mood surprisingly stuck with me the whole day.

"hi tae~" he said with his sweet voice. "are you with kookie right now?"

"yeah, he's fine. just had... something he had to attend to at his apartment." i covered the potentially embarrassing real reason.

"oh... well that's good to hear." i could tell he was relieved at that. "do you two want to go see a movie with me?"

despite being an actor it was clear that jimin felt absolutely ecstatic that his dream of being with both of us might come true.

"that's fine with me, i'll ask jungkook though." i almost panicked when i heard jimin sniffle on the phone. "jimin? are you okay?"

"a-aish, it's nothing. it just really means a lot to me that you two are finally getting along." he said. i chuckled and couldn't help but grin widely. it truly was refreshing to not worry about rivalry.

"okay, okay! don't start crying or i'll tell jungkook he's annoying."

"n-no! don't ruin this! fine, fine i'll stop!" he begged. i laughed at his desperation.

"anyways, i'll ask jungkook. i'll text you."

"okay, bye tae~ and be nice!"

"yeah yeah, bye jimin." i hung up.

it was then that jungkook came in holding two glasses of orange juice and set them on the table.

"ah, this is for you. i wasn't sure if you wanted juice but you were on the phone." he said unsurely.

"oh well thanks anyways, orange juice is my favorite!" i said reassuringly. "anywho; jimin asked if we wanted to see a movie with him."

"really? okay, i don't have anything planned for the rest of today anyways." he said.

"good, should i tell him we can go?"

"sure. let's take the same car so we can save gas too." he smartly suggested.

"good idea." i confirmed. "i'll text jimin and ask him where to meet..."

i eventually got the address from jimin and we made our way to the theater in my car.

the happy, uplifting feeling in my heart never left the whole day. my heart was even happier when i was with jungkook. i assumed it was because of our new friendship.

despite my joy, i couldn't help but worry that i was being too forward with him. my friends tell me that i tend to get clingy to new friends very easily.

it wasn't so bad though. whenever i saw jungkook's smile i brushed off the thought and forgot about it.
