Fic title: Paranoia

Y/N's POV

"That makes seventeen."
Those were the first words I heard in that huge gym. I stood anxiously, almost coming off as aloof, until I was knocked out of my daze by a very loud voice.
"Hello, you must be Y/N, Ultimate Y/U, correct?!"
I flinched at the volume and nodded, as he lowered his tone.
"I am Ishimaru Kiyotaka, the Ultimate Moral Compass. Did you black out as well?"
Again, I nodded meekly. He replied with, "Well, perhaps that is just how this school does things."
That's when that God-forsaken monochrome bear reared his robotic head.
All I heard was 'murder' and a bunch of killing methods. That's when I made a mad dash for an exit. I ended up locking myself in what was supposedly my dorm room.
Ever since that stupid bear told me about the killing game, I locked myself in my room. For the first day, I didn't come out for anything - no, not even food or drink. Even if I had access to the previous things, like Hell would I have eaten or drank anything. Somebody could have poisoned it, or tampered with it in some way.
So, I sat on my bed with my knees brought up to my chest. Sometimes I'd hum to myself, others I'd just imagine what the others were speaking about. I'd picture myself with them, talking all about y/u and how interesting it was.
However, a knock on my door made me nearly burst into tears.
"Who is it?" I asked with a shaky voice.
"Kiyotaka, the Ultimate Moral Compass."
I certainly remembered the loud voice. In all honesty, I figured that he only reminded me of his Ultimate so that I wouldn't get afraid.
"Can you open the door?"
"O-Okay."
Slowly, I unlocked the door and peered around. I spotted his distinguishable red eyes and let him in.
"I brought you something to eat."
He placed down a bento and bottle of water on my bedside table before taking a seat next to me. It was clear he felt uncomfortable sitting so close to a girl - he was staring nervously at his feet.
"I'm not hungry, but thank you."
He seemed to know what I was thinking, so he took a bite.
"I didn't tamper with it."
And so, you ate it in a grateful silence. He glanced around. "So this is what the girls' rooms look like. Very similar to the boys rooms, honestly."
"Disappointed?"
"Of course not." He sounded almost offended at my claim. "It's not like I'll spend time in the girls' rooms anyway! That behaviour is unwelcome in a school environment!"
Timidly, I nodded. "I appreciate the bento, thanks."
"Not a problem." He turned to face me. "I know this whole situation seems... kind of bad, but there'll always be hope. Cooping yourself up in your room alone won't do anything but worry you sick."
I chuckled slightly.
"What? What's so funny? Did I say something out of line?"
"You're just being... so sweet and stuff. It's adorable."
"Well, I mean it. I'd love to get to know you more, and I'm sure the others would to."
When he saw the apprehension on my face, he sighed and closed his eyes, standing up and making his way towards the door. "I understand. Stay safe—"
"Hold on," I quickly rose and followed him. "I'll need a guide who's already seen a bit of the school to show me around, won't I?" I held onto his sleeve.
He was staring at his feet again. "Y-Yeah...!" His voice cracked slightly.

God he was adorable.
