Fic title: Truth or Dare or Lie

Y/N's POV

The evening started off relatively normal. The boys and the girls of Hope's Peak had agreed to have separate sleepovers so that we could get to know each other better. That was it. Nothing too drastic. I expected it to be pretty fun but nothing too special.
Oh how very wrong I was.
"Hey! Oh my God, you brought popcorn!" Keade cheered as I waited outside her dorm politely. "Come on in, Kirumi and Maki already made it. Though someone won't shut up about Kaito—"
"Do you wanna die, Kaede?"
"Nope, not really."
I took a seat on her bed, next to Kirumi as she browsed Nexflix with Maki cross-legged on the floor. It didn't take long for Angie to arrive with a bottle of strawberry Panta, followed by Himiko and Tenko and all the other girls who each held a myriad of snacks to binge-eat the night away with.
We snacked. We cried at whatever we were watching. We chilled on our phones.
I had no idea what was going on next door, which quite frankly got me nervous, but I tried my best to ignore what the boys, or more specifically Kokichi Oma, were up to.

Kokichi's POV

The sleepover was pretty boring. We just lay around on our phones with some sort of snack next to us, my choice being - of course - grape Panta. I was scrolling through Y/N's instagram and wondering what she was up to. She was probably talking about me. Or maybe someone else. I had no idea, because (though I'm pretty great), some of the students I was sat with took the cake. Amami, Kaito, even Kiibo if you squinted and tilted your head.
So I just stared at my screen and took another sip of my Panta.
"Hey, Kokichi, when are you going to stop stalking Y/N and actually ask her out?"
I nearly did a spit take as Amami spoke, but worked hard to regain my composed manner and grinned. "Nishishi! Why would I be sliding into her DMs?"
"Dude," Kaito chimed in, "You've been typing and retyping the same thing for ages."
"What, did you get Kiibo to hack my phone and check for you or something?"
"Hey! That's robophobic!"
"Whatever, Roomba, I have bigger fish to fry."
"Let's play truth or dare." Korekiyo suggested. "We could most definitely pry the information out of him in other ways if he doesn't comply. I brought some pliers so I could pull out his teeth until—"
"Truth or dare it is." Ryoma agreed, not looking up from his phone.
"Kaito," I asked before anyone else could start the game, "Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"If you had to kill Maki—"
"Kokichi, truth or dare." Kiibo interrupted like the rude little vacuum that he was.
"Dare."
"I'm going to be generous and give you two options. Either confess to Y/N in person or try to punch Maki."
I groaned dramatically, standing up and facetiming Kaito so everyone could watch what I was about to do. I made beeline for Kaede's dorm and knocked on, being greeted by Kaede.
"Oh, Kokichi." She gave me a gentle simper. "Is there something you wanted?"
"Bring Maki outside."
"Uh... Oma?"
"Bring her now."
"Uh... Okay?" She turned her head back into the room. "Maki? Kokichi needs you for something."
Before I knew what was happening Maki was stood in front of me, arms crossed and an impatient glint in her crimson red eyes.
"So..." I said, before balling my hands into fists and getting ready to swing. Upon spotting my action, Maki sprung at me, pinning arms behind my back and knocking me to the ground. My phone, which was still on facetime, flew from my hands and skidded across the dormitory floor.
"Bastard." She hissed. "Why the Hell would you even try that?!"
"B-Because—!" I carefully defended. "It was a dare!"
"Then get going!"
Maki shoved me back into Kaito's dorm and all was silent.
That's until Amami broke the silence. "You need to fulfil the dare."
"Are you serious?! I could have died!"
"Rules are rules."
"Oh, shut up, Kiyo."
I sat on the bed and admitted that I liked Y/N.
"She's just really interesting and cares about what I have to say. She understands me and is really... consistent. Like, if she says she'll do something she'll do it. She's just so nice and pretty and I don't even know how to confess. I can't articulate it that well, y'know?"
Silence filled the room.
"K-Kokichi?" Kaito's phone asked. I recognised the voice almost instantly.
Oh no.
Oh God no.
The phone. My phone. In the dormitory. Y/N.
"I-I heard you and Maki yelling outside so I went to see what was up and I found your phone, so I went to return it and—" She paused, "—Oh my God, you actually like me."
"I know, it's dumb!" I exclaimed, and the dorm was near silent. Even Ryoma was listening.
"Kokichi... tomorrow, whenever you're free, do you maybe want to grab a bite to eat? Just the two of us?"
A stunned silence engulfed the room, somehow even moe silent than before. The guys had stopped shuffling about.
"You're not acting, are you?" I asked, just to play it safe.
"No!" She laughed. "I'll... see you then?"
"Sure. You can return my phone then, too."
"It's a deal."
Click! The phone hung up.
I fist bumped the air. "Yes!" I exclaimed.
"We can hear you!" Tenko's muffled voice exclaimed from the other side of the wall.

The next morning, we actually didn't go out to eat since it was raining.
We went to her dorm, which was really nice, and made some hot chocolate and just sat on her bed all day in a fortress of pillows and blankets watching f/m.
I hugged her shorter/taller figure and kept my eyes glued on the screen, enjoying the moment while it lasted.
It was truly a day to remember.

Sorry, I know it was really short fluff(?) at the end, but I still hope you liked it!
