Fic title: The Murderer's Maid

*flashback in Y/N's POV*

My earliest memories were those of my parents. My mother speaking to my father and then taking me away from my brother and being adopted by some people I don't quite remember. Then I remember being trained to be a maid, and being sent off. Sent off where? I didn't know. Just some place. DICE, I think it was called.
I readily served for the everyone at DICE, from the newcomers to our leader. That leader's name was 'Kokichi Oma'.
Oma had always been rather fair to me, unless he was having what could only be described as a fit of childishness (then I'd be ordered around like a dog, though it was my duty not to mind).
So, that is how I lived all of my life.
Until... until that bear came along.

Y/N's POV

I woke up in a state of shock. I remembered being kidnapped from Oma. Being taken away in a van. Being placed here. Here. Where was 'here'?
I felt cool metal around me. Slits of light mercifully leaked into the container, also providing an at least decent flow of oxygen. I banged once, twice, three times on the door. It opened with relative ease.
"Hello?" I remarked boldly. "If anyone is there, reveal yourself. I am trained to defend in case of emergancies and I will not hesitate to—"
"—Eh? Y/N? Is that you?"
I recognised the voice in an instant. Oma.
"Oma? Sir?"
The classroom that I had fallen into was dark and musty, clearly not used but made spotting the purple-haired leader relatively easy.
"Y/N? Thank God you're here!" He gave me a bear hug and when he pulled away he was beaming. Then his face formed a frown. "Where even are we?"
I wish the question wasn't answered as it was. That bear. That God-forsaken bear.
When we were all gathered in the gym, all seventeen of us, the truth was reveal - it was a killing game.
"Y/N..."Kokichi mumbled. "Y/N, our roles don't matter anymore. We have to stick it out together."
I gave him a sideward glance. "I promise that we'll survive."

Kokichi's POV

It was our first free time event since Monobear (or whatever his name was) announced the murderous activities we'd be doing. I kept a smile plastered on my face and my arms placed on the back of my head as I strolled through the halls. Y/N wasn't with me. Though she didn't have to serve for me under such conditions, it would have been nice to have some company. Some support.
That's when I heard it.
The lightest laughter. "Oh my God, Kaito!" The familiar voice giggled. It was coming from the game room. I lurked around the corner and saw the SHSL Astronaut and Y/N. Y/N was playing a video game of some sort.
I felt a burning envy rise in my throat like vomit. I didn't announce my presence. I didn't even see what they were playing. I just considered my options and came up with a plan.
All day I didn't have the energy to poke fun at anyone, even Kiibo. I just sat, ate little and cooped myself up in my room.
I drafted, redrafted, scrapped and reinvented many of my plans.
The clock in my dorm was ticking, like a bomb that would soon explode. The first blood perk was a literal nightmare.
Finally, my plan was complete.
Eleven o'clock. Perfect. Kaito would most likely be out star gazing or be alone in his room. Both were perfectly good options.
I decided to keep things relatively simple. A knife, some gloves, and a few red herrings here and there.
As I stepped out of the dormitory, as expected, Kaito was clearly visible stargazing.
"Oh, Kokichi, hey!" He gave me a small wave. "What's behind your back?"
I didn't respond. I stabbed him in the throat, and then the chest until his convulsing body quivered to a stop. I kicked him to give bruises that could serve as red-herrings. I left the disposable gloves lazily in the nearby trash can for 'evidence' and washed the knife, placing it in the kitchen.
That's when she spotted me.
"K-K-Kokichi..." She whimpered as I was walking past the body. "Kokichi, what did you do?!"
"Calm down, we can work with this and get out alive!" I said, trying to calm her down. Obviously she was on the verge of screaming so I clamped my hand over her mouth. "Y/N, I need you to go and tell Monokuma something very important..."

Y/N's POV

I listened to his plan in shock. It was, undeniably, brilliant yet extremely sadistic. I considered my options - I'd known Kokichi forever and knew these strangers for literally less than a day. As his servant (and a SHSL Servant at that) it was my duty to do as he wished. He saw the calmer look in my e/c eyes and took his hand away from my mouth.
"Alright. You get the items prepared."
As he sauntered off, I swallowed my anxiety and made beeline for the girls' bathroom.
"Monokuma, can you come in here a sec?"
In a puff of smoke the monochrome bear appeared, only to start sweating. "Oh God, I'm not supposed to be in the girls' bathroom, am I? Whaddya need? 'Cuz I need my beauty sleep!"
"If you really needed your beauty sleep you'd go into hibernation. I need a favour which will spice up the game." I remarked as confidently as I could muster, quoting Kokichi's exact words.
"Then go on, missy, what do you need from me? I'm just a wittle bear!"
I took a deep breath, closing my eyes. "I need you to make me look exactly like Kokichi Oma, the SHSL Supreme Leader, and he needs to look exactly like me. It'll spice up that trial you keep mentioning."
Monokuma started ringing his paws. "Ah, an excellent idea, Kokichi. Bring me Y/N and I'll get the Monokubs to do that by morning."
"Great." I nodded. "Thank you so much."
"No problem, my dearest darling-est murderous student!"

Kokichi's POV

When I looked in the mirror by dawn, I was looking exactly like Y/N. It was honestly a bit creepy. Hell, the Monokubs even hooked me up with a voice changer. Y/N looked like the spitting image of me.
We were all still in the girls' bathroom, so myself and Y/N made our way outside.
"Bing bong bong bing! A body has been discovered! Please make your way to the courtyard
When the words were spoken, I activated my voice changer and ran to the corpse. Faking a look of shock, Monokuma ran over how a trial would work and all that fun stuff.
Next thing I knew, after the investigation, we were in an elevator.
Y/N looked at me and offered me a comforting, "Nishishi!"
It helped a bit.
The second we understood what we were doing, fingers were pointing at 'Kokichi'.
"I stopped by his dorm to ask where Kaito was." Maki testified, bluntly. "He didn't respond."
Y/N, playing into my persona beautifully, retorted with, "Calm down there, edgelord, I was sleeping. In fact, I'm pretty sure Kirumi gave me some sleeping pills in my food."
"Y/N could have done it!" Kiibo pointed out logically, pointing directly at me.
"No, I'm pretty sure it was Kirumi. She was the last to feed me, y'know? Mommy's just so nice like that!"
Wow, she was good at this. Despite everything, though, I didn't want to keep her under the spotlight for too long. I was about to object to a random point made when Shuichi started an Argument Armament. Of course Y/N's defences were weak, so I tried to defend 'Kokichi' with the most logical comments that I could muster. Everything from the size of the wounds, where I left the knife, my alibi... it was honestly pathetic how fast the trial was over.
Everyone was staring at Y/N. Voting had started. I voted myself.
"Correct!" Monokuma cheered. "Kokichi, the SHSL Supreme Leader, in the courtyard with a knife!"
I pretended to look shocked. I pretended to act scared of 'him'.
We weren't even given any grieving time.
"I'm sorry!" I shouted as she was dragged away to her execution.
'Kokichi' was placed on a stage with their limbs on what looked like puppet strings. They were tearing her limbs from her body. No. She didn't deserve this. She didn't deserve any of this.
As soon as it was over she was face down against the stage's floorboards and a blood-coated mess.

Timeskip to chapter six because writing is hard send help lol

Myself, Maki, Himiko and Shuichi - survivors. I was still in Y/N's character.
Everyone else - deceased one way or another.
"Guys. The outside world is waiting for us." I commented. "You guys go ahead. I'll catch up."
As they clambered out of the rubble that was once Hope's Peak Academy, I took the book I'd stolen.
The exchange student book from Angie and Tenko's trial.
Now I had my true memories back. Y/N, my twin sister, being forced into serving her older brother (by ten minutes). Me.
I wanted to see her again.
I had to see her again.
I performed the seance. I could feel both Angie's and Korekiyo's presence nearby, as if they were smiling at me in forgiveness.
I took of my wig and my makeup and all of that.
And I saw her appear right before my eyes.
We hugged. We cried.
We now both have our lives.
