Sorry, if this fic is put out instead of your request. I really really wanted to do a Christmas special, that's all. That being said, Merry Christmas! Even if you don't celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful day nonetheless.

Third Person POV

The students of Hope's Peak Academy for Gifted Juveniles did not care if they were stuck in the midst of a deadly killing game. Nobody had yet to die. No motives had been handed out to throw their lives on the line.
So, they tried to remain happy. Or, rather, festive and merry.
On Christmas Eve, Kirumi had been so kind as to suggest a Christmas feast the next day, maybe a small gift exchange if they could scrape up anything. Kaede had instantly agreed and so did everybody else. Even Kokichi and Maki, on the condition that they could sit on opposite ends of the table.
It was settled.
One day to prepare and another day to enjoy.
For once, nobody thought about the killing game.
Kirumi was, of course, on food. Maki and Korekiyo had been assigned to help her. Monokuma, sadistic as he was, always wanted a Christmas Special for the killing game, and so provided all the food and supplies needed to make it a success. Who knew? Maybe a new festive murder would kick on the V3 killing game!
Gonta and Angie were on decorations. They made a pretty good team, Gonta hanging up home-made paper chains and new paintings and hand-crafted baubles on an small tree Rantaro had cut down for them and brought inside. Was it a pine tree? No. Did it still hold enough festive cheer for Angie and Gonta to be satisfied? Absolutely.
Speaking of Rantaro, him and Shuichi and Kaede had agreed to plan out how Christmas Day would work out, a gift exchange, a nice meal, maybe talking about life and funny stories. Rantaro never much celebrated Christmas, he still found it entertaining to watch the whole thing go down.
Tenko, Himiko and Tsumugi were all working on making scarves, gloves and hats for their fellow classmates. Thought Tsumugi had insisted on having Angie helping her, she was far too busy and so Tenko and Himiko took over. Tenko wasn't terrible - she followed orders to a T, after all - but her skills definitely couldn't even come close to matching Angie's. Himiko, on the other hand, was good too, though she had a habit of falling asleep while working.
Most of the others simply relaxed, though this was excusing one individual.
Kokichi Oma, the SHSL Supreme Leader.
He was in his dorm, scheming.
"Yes... it's the perfect plan... finally... I can end it..." he mumbled to himself. A knock on his door interrupted him.
"Kokichi," It was Kirumi, "Go to bed, we're all agreeing to go to bed early and make the most out of Christmas Day tomorrow by waking up earlier."
"Mum!"
"You're no son of mine."
"You interrupted my dramatic monologuing!"
"Goodnight, Oma."
He lay down in his bed and turned the lights down. His scheme should work.
It had to work.
If it didn't work, he'd ruin it all.

Timeskippppp

Presents were swapped and exchanged. The tree was adorned with baubles and lights. Everyone wrapped up in wintery clothes and sitting down, ready to eat a festive meal. Perfection, perfection all around. Everyone, especially Korekiyo and Angie and Himiko (who still believed in Santa), was enthralled with the celebration, despite the killing game, despite the fear. For once, actually, there was no fear. Only love and joy.
And Kokichi had a plan to help with that.
Turkey and stuffing was laid out with all of the other Christmasy foods - sprouts, parsnips, pigs in blankets, apple sauce, boiled vegetables, and lots and lots of KFC for those who wanted to celebrate it the Japanese way. You name it, Tojo had cooked it.
Everybody ate and adored the food. People chatted, laughed, pulled crackers, and just had a fun time without wondering about Monokuma's motive of the week.
Kokichi stood up silently and left. Everybody assumed that he was just going to the bathroom, so nobody acknowledged his actions as anything odd or even suspicious, and kept having fun.
Kokichi slipped into the kitchen.
There they were, fresh out of the oven.
Christmas puddings, one for each of the sixteen students, and a smaller few for Monokuma and the Monokubs. But, there was one problem.
They were... undecorated.
He fumbled around in the cupboards and drawers until he managed to make some sort of icing. Quickly, he drizzled it onto each and every one of the puddings, even the ones for the animatronic bears, until Tojo entered,
"Kokichi! What are you doing?"
"Icing them. I knew you wouldn't decorate them, so I did."
She looked his up and down. Then she smiled at him. "So you're not poisoning them or anything like that?"
He picked one at random and bit into it, icing and all. "Scout's honour."
She laughed at him and patted his head. "Was this what you were planning last night?"
"I was planning... something else." He looked at the ground. He had to end the killing game one way or another, even if he died or got hurt. "But that doesn't matter right now. All that matters is that we give out Christmas puddings to everyone."
She smiled at him. "Yep, I believe we should."
And that was the day before the first victim died. But it was okay.
At least they had Christmas puddings.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
