Ethan and I both looked at the text.

"Well...fuck." I breathed out after an endless amount of silence seemed to pass.

"I...uh..." He put his head in his hands.

We were both at a loss of words.

Obviously, Ethan didn't want Grayson sucked into this.

Obviously, Ethan didn't want to deal with this.

"I gotta go home love." He got up, "I need to talk to Grayson and figure out what we're going to do."

I nodded. "I understand." I got up, "Will you keep me updated?"

"Of course." He pressed a long kiss to my forehead. "I'm sorry about all of this." He breathed out as he pulled back, leaning his forehead on mine to look into my eyes.

His eyes were etched with stress and anxiousness from this.

One text was all it took to flip a look in ones eyes.

A mood in ones mind.

To skyrocket stress, to trigger a deep emotional response.

One text.

I saw that change in Ethans eyes instantly.

I walked with him to the door. "I love you. Ethan be careful. Please."

"I love you more." He kissed me, a long kiss. "I will."

He didn't want to leave and I didn't want him to.

He didn't want to do this as much as I didn't want him to do this.

Grayson would be with him, he wouldn't let anything happen to Ethan.

"Alright love." He pecked my lips and went to his car. "I'll see you later."

Ethans POV:

This was not what I planned.

I drove home, my hands tight on the steering wheel.

When I pulled in, I went inside. "Grayson!" I yelled up the stairs.

"Kitchen!" I heard from the kitchen.

I went in and saw him sitting on the counter, "Hey."

"Grayson I'm so sorry he texted you."

"Hey, you can't control him. We just need to figure out what to do."

"He told me he wanted to talk. You have to come with me, Gray. I can't go alone."

"Hell no!" He whipped his head up so his eyes were staring into mine. "You really thought I was going to let you go alone?"

"I didn't know." I sat down at the table.

"Did you text him back?"

"No."

"Ask him when he wants to meet." Grayson pointed at my phone. "Do it now."

Me: When did you want to meet

I set my phone down.

I couldn't believe I was doing this. I didn't want to meet with him.

I didn't want to stoop to his level.

I had to. Maybe then I could end all of this.

We're teens, yet Jacks acting five.

Wow I love petiness.

Jack: An hour? The sooner the better

I looked up at Grayson. "Text Jules and Alice, make sure they can be with Autumn in an hour."
