"You had stopped believing that the clan might exist somewhere."

'That's not true..'

Giotto narrowed his eyes.

'No.. it IS true.. I have lied to myself. I always tell myself that miracle wont happen, because I'm the one who is responsible for her 'death'.'

He sigh to the full moon that shines brightly inside the room.

"Decimo."

"H-Huh?"

He smiled before parting his lips to start the story, "I have to admit.. I've been running away, because it is so painful, to the point that I just couldn't move on anymore."

                                  -- 400 years ago, during the era of Vongola family --

He lives in a lovely and lively town in Italy. Though there are some discrimination to the weak and the poor at that time, the people in this place still live together in peace. He found it unfair to these kind people, and so he created a mafia family that protects the weak. With his childhood friends' support; G and Simon, he managed to keep the strength of his newly created Vongola family. He could only focus nothing else but the family's well being, where he's not even interested in finding love, or even planning to get married at all. He is not ready in finding his soulmate yet--as he explained it to the elder who has been raising him from the orphanage; Veccio.

Even though Giotto is the leader and the first head of the family, the rules made must get through with Veccio's approval first. He is like the elder of the family, or he can be called as the main head above Giotto himself. He took Giotto in after he found out that Giotto is his distant relative, raised him to be a fine young man until now. Giotto respects him, but there was time when the respect sink when Veccio does things that is not like what Giotto wanted. He can be forceful at times, and Giotto realized it will be getting worse soon, so he decided not to have a discussion about the family matter with his elder anymore.

Yes, he wanted the family to expand, but not from him. It is better seeing his family members live happily ever after, than him who was supposed to start it since he is the head of the family. He would always decline Veccio's marriage meeting arrangement, excusing himself that he wanted to go for a training at the mountains in order to get stronger. Sometimes, he will send any random family members instead, and in the end, he is like a matchmaker; the man that he sent ends up with the woman that was supposed to meet him in the first place .

But there is one, who still sticks around him, which annoys G and Simon.

"She is such a queen control, you know- oops." Simon hides behind G when she happens to be there and heard the conversation. Simon can imagine her glare can pierce through his eyes, this so-called 'Valerie' woman. She's in her 20's, she had a bright and long, golden hair with mesmerizing aqua orbs. 'Valerie is the most gorgeous lady in town', they said. But it doesn't tigger Giotto's feelings at all, which resulted in her greed that full of desire to get Giotto heart and body all to herself.

Every woman that has a connection with Giotto is the victim to her evil doings. She will set a plan to get rid of them without fail. Stole all their money, shelter, everything. She love to see their cry and miserable expression when she did it. No matter how small the connection it is; she is still heartless to turn the all the girls' life upside down. Giotto wasn't aware of this. He only knows that there are robbing and murder cases in town lately.

She will wait until Giotto wanted to take action to protect the poor people, then she take the chance to get closer to him by 'supporting' and 'sharing' his problem together with her. So finally he will recognise her 'kindness' and choose her to be his wife.
