Your POV.

I was sitting in the office when there was a knock in my door. "Come in." I said.

"Hi Mrs. Curtis, here's your invitation." One of the girls in the office said handing me an envelope.

"My invitation. To what?"

"The boss's summer party."

"Oh. Thanks." I said putting on a happy face. I opened the envelope and read the invitation. It was at hall, great, I kept reading. Formal attire, even better, what kind of summer party is this. Soda is not going to be excited.

---

"Hi honey," I said walking in the door.

"Hey sweetie how was your day." Soda said. Soda gets home and hour before me but he brings in the real money. Not that we get very much.

"Well I uh have some news," I said sitting down in the couch.

"Ok" he said suspicious of me.

"We got invited to my boss's summer party."

"Annnnd?" He asked.

"It's formal. Soda I know your not gonna want to go but if I go I could get a promotion. Because most people don't go."

"How come most people don't go."

"Because it's a summer party that's in a hall."

"Ooh" he said.

"Please soda if I get promoted I'll get a raise."

"Alright." He said sliding down on the couch.

"Thank you so much." I said hugging him.

---- at the party ----

"Soda this is my coworker Becky," I said.

"Oh and this must be Frank." He said shaking Becky and not Frank's hand.

"What?" Becky's husband said.

"Exscuse us." I said pulling him away, "soda that was Becky's husband Mark, Frank is her boyfriend. Everyone knows that."

"Well apparently mark didn't." He said.

"Soda what if they get divorced now, Becky was my only friend in the office."

"How do you keep a secret like that from your husband." He said shocked by her behavior.

"Well it's pretty easy when everyone knows but your husband." I said walking around trying to find our seats. "Oh no," I said.

"What."

"They have us with all socs. Here take these." I said handing him our name cards. I grabbed two from the table of my friends and switched them out.

"(Y/n) what are you doing." He asked.

"Trust me everyone will have a better time like this."

"(Y/n) can I ask you something," he said as we sat down at our table.

"Yeah what is it."

"You don't have secrets from me do you."

"No , I don't have secrets. I just have things I don't tell you."

"What does that mean?"

"It means I don't have secrets I just have things I've never told you."

"Like what." He asked kind of offended.
