26. Raging Fire

August's POV

"So how can I help you?" My tone is like public relation officer talking to Nate. Kumukulo pa rin ang dugo ko dahil sa nasaksihan ko.

"Ahm, I would like to know if I can see you often?" He was smiling shyly which is really weird and even blushing. How could a criminal can blush like this?

"And why is that?" I asked in an intriguing tone. Even though I already know these type of men, I will act still that I don't have a single idea.

"Would you walk away if I tell you..... I like you when I first time I laid my eyes on you?" He answered that even an ice will melt. "No, I think I am already in love with you."

*blaaggh*

Napalingon ako bigla sa kabila dahil sa malakas na tunog ng pagkabasag. Tumatahip pa nga ang dibdib ko sa gulat.

"Oh my god!" Takot na saad ng babae na kasama ni Cayden na ngayon ay halos pumulupot na kay Cayden.

Their table was messed up. It was broken and their coffee was spilled all over. Agad na dumulog ang mga crew at tiningnan agad sina Cayden kung may sugat ba sila. I wanted to stand and go to him but my pride is stopping me. I know as well that Cayden is fine, and whatever that weirdness happened on the table, I am 100% sure, it was his doing. I just don't know the reason.

"Damn, how did that glass break?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Nate.

Napansin ko rin ang paglapit ng mga bodyguard nito pero hindi naman nagpahalata ang mga ito.

"Maybe, the glass is not that good when it was moulded. It needs a high temperature to liquidized a sand." Sagot ko na lang.

Napangiti naman si Nate sa naging sagot ko. "It's a wonder that you did not freak out with what happened." Saad nito sa akin.

I smirked. "A broken glass is not enough to surprise me." Sagot ko na lang rito.

"Alpha girl." He sneered.

"Nope. It just happened that I did not freaked out." Bawi ko rito at sabay kindat pa.

Biglang nagring naman ang cellphone ni Nate kaya sinagot kaagad nito ang tawag. I listened to their conversation pero wala naman akong nakuhang importante. It was just a natural responses and no meaning behind the answers. Binaba na nito ang cellphone nito at tsaka parang nag-atubiling tumingin sa akin.

"I..... I badly need to go, but..... can I keep in touch with you?" Tanong nito sa akin. Parang wala sa sariling napatango ako ng mapansin ko na tumayo si Cayden. "Here is my card, you can call me.... if you want." Saad nito at tumayo na ito. "I hope, I will meet you again." Saad nito at umalis na sa Starbucks.

"Stay in Starbucks. Few men are still in spot watching you. We will tail him." Saad ni Misha mula sa earpiece.

Hindi na ako sumagot. I took a sip on my macchiato and took a big bite with the blueberry cheesecake.

"Because of your stupid and classless furniture, I almost died! How are you going to compensate me? It ruined my dress! This came from Florence!" The girl cried kaya napalingon ulit ako rito.

She is complaining right now because her dress was messed up, while Cayden was throwing dagger looks on me. Ganyan ba mga tipo niya? Galit lang, kung anu-ano na pinagsasabi.

"Ma'am we really do apologized. Our tables are made of clear granite and we are investigating as well what was the cause of-"

"I don't give a damn if this is made of granite or diamond! It ruined my dress and my date!" Galit na putol ng babae sa manager ng Starbucks.
