"that's everything?" Dad asked

"uh yeah I think so, just please remember to ship my coat"

"wow! you really grew up so fast. I'm proud of you son" He said looking at me all sad

"thanks pops. and thanks for just being there...but it's time for you to get out now" I joked

"oh I see lil man. get a little freedom and don't know how to act. remember school first okay? then friends. if you need anything call Storm or I. and don't forget to take your meds"

"okay dad!"

I walked over to the door and opened it wide.

"this is the thanks I get for raising you myself for almost 18 years? I can't believe it" He began to fake cry

He's such a clown, I can't with him.

"I love you dad, now hurry before you're late. you know how Storm is, she won't let you ever forget"

"oh...right. well then" He began to walk towards the door but then stopped midway

"almost forgot" He turned back around then went to my duffle bag laying on my bed

He opened it then pulled out a small bag, almost like a makeup bag or pencil case.

"my gift to you" He said handing it to me

"what is it?" I asked but then instantly realized when I heard the rustle of the plastic

"stay safe, love you kiddo but don't follow in my footsteps" He said patting me on the shoulder before finally walking out

I closed the door behind him then opened the bag to find it full of magnum condoms.

how big does he think I am? how big is he—nevermind, don't really want to know.

I walked back over to my duffle and stuffed the bag back into it. I looked around my room and admired it, even though it's small it's my new home.
