We've been sitting here for what feels like 20 minutes waiting for Caiah to finish getting dressed. All while having a really awkward conversation.
"how's uh...school?"
The bedroom door swung open before he could give me an answer which had us both relieved. Next time I'm just gonna wait in the bathroom until he's ready.
"okay I'm done" Caiah said
We both turned to look at him.
"all this time for a basic ass fit?" I asked
"I was doing my hair, this is my last time getting to do it so I might as well make it look nice"
"whatever, the car is waiting for us" I said before standing up
I grabbed my phone and blistex off the couch before making my way to the door. Blistex is a must for me, I don't go anywhere without it. Caiah prefers carmex but that shit ain't it to me.
"oh wait, I forgot my bracelet" I heard just as I was opening the door
I sighed then closed it shut. This is gonna be a long night.
