"do you really have to go?" I asked pouting while holding onto his hand
"it's Tay's birthday weekend, we always celebrate together" Cai said
"fine. but when you get back I'm eating you out, no if's and's or but's...well besides your butt" I said with a straight face
He laughed then pulled me into a hug before kissing my cheek.
"see you guys Sunday" He said letting go of my hand and picking up his bag
"safe flight" Leigh said
He blew me a kiss then turned to head towards the boarding gate. Once he had handed the lady his boarding pass we both quickly turned and started walking.
"I still don't understand why you're not telling where you're going" Leigh said
"...because, I want to do this on my own. my own decision without being influenced. I'll tell him when I'm ready" I explained
Earlier in the week I got a call from Cai's dad telling me that his financial advisor/lawyer would be meeting me in Oklahoma to discuss the house my dad left. He's already signed the deed over to me so now I just need to discuss my options.
"but isn't a relationship built off trust and honesty? ain't you not telling him a lie?"
"nigga you of all people should not be giving me relationship advice. it's not like I'm hiding this from him, it's not even anything that has to do with him. I'll tell him when I settle the deal"
"aight, well this is you" He said as we arrived at my gate
"thanks for the ride. remember to get the Zipcar early to come pick me up before Cai gets here"
"uh huh. have a safe trip bro" He said before dapping me up
He left right after leaving just me now. Not like he could pass with me though, a nigga gotta go get searched now.
⏩ 10:11pm
"yeah I'm actually walking into my hotel room right now" I said as I inserted the key card into the slot
I opened the door and brought my stuff in all while holding the phone to my ear with my shoulder.
"alright my guy will call you around 9am so make sure you're up, he doesn't like it when people are late"
"yes sir. uh thanks again sir"
"uh huh" He said then hung up
I took the phone off my ear and started to admire my room. Not bad considering how much I paid for it. A little small but nice.
