"babe I'm so sorry...I just got back from work and seen the news. you okay?" Masai asked once I answered the call
"I'm fine. three people died though and twenty-seven are injured because of the trampling and chaos"
I've been in bed all day ever since this morning's incident. We went to Ty's place first and ended up falling asleep so I didn't actually get home until 6am. My dad was freaking out from not hearing from me which is my fault but he wasn't too mad.
"shit I'm so sorry, I wish I was there up under you right now"
"I wish you were too. I don't want to talk about it though, how was your day?" I asked while turning over to my side
"why don't I tell you in person?"
"what you mean?"
All of a sudden there was a knock on my door. no way.
I stood up and went to open it. Masai stood behind the door with the phone to his ear and a duffle bag in his hand.
"Happy New Year" He said into the phone then hung up
I dropped my phone then jumped up to hug him. He dropped his bag and propped my legs up with his hands.
"h-how? don't you have work?"
"you kidding? I wasn't boutta just stay miles away from you after what just happened. I took off for the next two days...just me and you baby" He cheesed
"I love you" I said looking into his eyes and then his lips
"love you too baby"
He leaned in and gave me a peck before walking into my room carrying me and then dropping me on my bed. He then turned to go get his bag and was surprised to see me undressing myself on his way back.
"what you doin?" He said with a slight chuckle
"what you think?"
"I'd love to but we got plans. I made reservations at a restaurant so we're going out to celebrate. and before you even try I talked to your dad and you haven't eaten all day so you're going"
"why a restaurant? can't we just order Chinese or something...and then have sex?" I asked while laying on the bed half dressed
"we could...but then we'd miss the ball game we're going to after dinner"
"wow you really know what I like don't you" I said sarcastically
