"what floor?" The woman standing in the elevator asked once I fit all of the balloons in
"four please"
She smiled then pushed the fourth floor button for me.
"someone special's birthday huh?" She asked
"you could say that" I shrugged
After a few seconds the elevator door opened.
"well happy birthday to her" She said as I was starting to walk off with the balloons
"him. happy birthday to him" I said before gracefully walking off
I made a left and started down the hall to where Wayne, Leigh, and Majesty all stood with their gift bags in their hands. Wayne also held the cake.
"you're late" Leigh whispered since we stood right outside his door
"fashionbly late my dear" I said then did a little spin
"can't stand your gay ass" He said before rolling his eyes
"aight let's go" Wayne said
Majesty nodded then reached for the door handle. As soon as he opened the door they starting singing in their horrible voices so I followed.
"Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday dear Masai...Happy Birthday to you"
I finally got all the balloons in at the end of the song and looked at Sai to see he was sleeping.
"you gotta me shittin' me" Leigh whispered

"so what're you saying?" I asked the doctor who had just rambled on in medical terms
"It was a difficult procedure due to the wound but he will recover...slowly but surely. keep in mind he won't be back to full strength for a very long time. he may need physical therapy, maybe some actual therapy, we can't be sure yet. only time will tell"
"but he'll return to normal?" Sai's mom asked
She got here as soon as we got the call that Masai was out of surgery.
"normal no, good as new possibly not. the bullet entered his liver, we can't possibly determine the effects as of now. like I said only time will tell. as of now he needs rest, a lot of it. you guys are welcome to stay with him though"
