"damn this shit look good" Masai said as the waitress set down our food
I got the macaroni bacon cheese burger, fries, and the cake shake—my usual from Black tap.
"facts!" I said mesmerized by the food
I picked up the straw that came with my drink and poked it into my drink before taking a huge pull.
"you're mad cute...can I?" He asked holding up his phone
I nodded then picked up my burger, pretending to take a bite out of it. The flash on his phone went off as well as the shutter sound. He looked at the picture then started to laugh.
"lemme see" I said
"hold on"
He started to do stuff in his phone then turned it to show me.

"nah, I fuck with it" He chuckled then put his phone down and started to eat
We mostly ate instead of talked which I don't mind at all. I hate when eating dates are made up of only talking because then what's the point of us getting food? I prefer to talk while we wait for our food and a little bit afterwards. But when I'm eating it's strictly me and my food, nobody else.
"oh, I got you a gift" I said while reaching into my pocket after we were done eating
"uhh I didn't know we were doing that" He said nervously
"relax..." I pulled out a folded piece of paper and handed it to him
"it's just my number, I realized you still didn't have it" I said while he opened it up
"aww, how did you know?" He asked sarcastically
"shut up. you're one of the few people that actually have my number. you should feel blessed"
