"So the dango shop at one then?"

"Yes, I'll bring the scrolls and I'll treat."

"No need it's on me," The male ninja winked and with a few hand signs disappeared with a puff of smoke. I smiled to myself a little bit, but the smile faded when I could feel annoyance radiating from the Uchiha sitting next to me. I slowly turned to look at him, but his face only conveyed a neutral expression.

Shisui and I had been dating for awhile, and usually he was the one who was always going out on missions. This time, however, I had been the one tasked with the important mission. I would be meeting my assigned partner for it for lunch so we could discuss what our plan of action would be.

He had come to confirm our plans with me while Shisui and I had been hanging out together. We didn't usually have a lot of down time to just relax, so today our time consisted of sitting on a bench under a tree near the Uchiha compound. I didn't know if Shisui was the jealous type, but I had a feeling I was about to find out.

"What's wrong?" I lightly nudged his shoulder with mine, he jumped a bit as if he was being snapped out of thought.

"Nothing, just thinking," He replied quietly before turning his head towards me. "Who was that guy anyway?"

"Just someone I have an important mission with soon," I shrugged before smirking. "Why? Are you jealous?"

"How could I be? You can't be jealous of someone if you're already better than them," He sent a smirk my way and I rolled my eyes before lightly hitting him. He chuckled in response and rested his arm on the bench behind me. We hadn't been quiet for more than a minute before he brought it up again.

"Why is he going on that mission?" Shisui asked and I turned to look at him. "If it's that important I could go with you too."

"Why would you do that?" I asked, suppressing a chuckle. "I can take care of myself and so can he."

"Just an extra pair of eyes," Shisui shrugged, seeming annoyed again. I didn't press the issue any further, as his behavior was starting to get on my nerves as well.

I didn't understand what the problem was, he didn't directly say he had a problem with what was going on, but it was obvious to anyone who saw what was going on that he did. I had a feeling he was jealous, but I was doubtful about that. He seemed secure about our relationship and it didn't seem like he was overly protective either. Really, there was no reason for him to be jealous at all.

Shisui and I hung out for a little longer before I looked at the time and decided I should go meet my mission partner. I wanted to be a little bit early, so I could make sure I had everything I needed for our meeting.

"I thought you didn't have to be there until later," Shisui raised an eyebrow and I let out a faint chuckle.

"I like being a little early, you know that," I leaned down and pecked his cheek. He pouted for a moment before I rolled my eyes and wrapped my arms around him. He gave me a quick kiss before I had to go.

I walked around the village in the direction of the dango shop. I made it there with a few moments to spare. I put my order in at the counter and chose a table close to the entrance. I took the mission request and a map out of my small backpack. I was looking at the map for a second when my partner came in and took a seat across from me.

I sent him a smile and showed him what I had brought with me before he went up to order. My dango came to the table as he was sitting back down. He told me what he thought we should do as I ate.

"Taking this route to the northern border of the Land of Fire should take less time, and it won't be as filled with trees as the other parts," He traced the route on the map with his finger. I nodded and placed my empty dango stick on the plate.

"I would have never thought of that," I remarked, impressed. "It's good I have you otherwise we would've been gone for weeks."

"But if we took your way we would have so much more time to spend together," He chuckled and I smiled and rolled my eyes.

"Shisui would be upset if I was gone for too long," I replied, giggling a little at the thought of him pouting.

"Shisui Uchiha? Is he like-"

"Her boyfriend, yes, yes I am," The voice startled the both of us and we looked up to see Shisui waltzing into the shop, Itachi in tow. I heaved a sigh and put my face in my hand. My partner looked confused, but his confusion turned to bewilderment when Shisui plopped himself down next to me and forced Itachi to sit across from him.

I followed him with my eyes and one eyebrow raised. He sent me an innocent smile in response. As soon as he sat down I reached under the table and pinched the top of his thigh, to which he jerked his leg up and hit the bottom of the table. The other two looked at him weirdly, and I just have him a look of annoyance which he returned.

"I didn't know we would have, uhm, others joining us?" My partner sounded unsure of what he was saying and it came out like a question.

"Me neither," I mumbled to myself.

"Itachi and I were just taking a walk together, ya know since my afternoon had suddenly become free," Shisui explained sending me a sideways glance. I rolled my eyes and looked down towards the map.

"And then I remembered my loving, gorgeous girlfriend was going to be here meeting with you," Shisui's exaggeration of the word girlfriend made both Itachi and I cringe. My partner rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Oh...how nice of you to stop by.." He said laughing nervously. I huffed once more and grabbed Shisui's shoulder and dragged him outside. I made sure we were far enough away from the shop so they wouldn't hear us.

I stood in front of him with my hands on my hips and waited for him to say something. He just leaned his back against the nearest wall and crossed his arms over his chest. We stared each other down, waiting for one of us to break. In the end, I broke first.

"What is your problem? You embarrassed me," I said, annoyance intertwined in my tone.

"My problem? You're the one meeting with a random guy by yourself," He pointed out, seeming smug with his argument. I rolled my eyes and glared at him.

"You've got to be kidding me, I don't need you to take care of me," I snapped. "Do you not trust me?"

"I trust you, just not him," Shisui huffed, getting quieter. I let out a long breath, realizing what was going on. I walked over to him and placed my hands on his shoulders, forcing him to look at me.

"Shisui Uchiha I didn't peg you as the jealous type," I chuckled softly and his cheeks tinted pink. "Look, you don't have to worry about him, I don't need anyone else as long as I have you."

"You mean that?" His gaze softened and his eyes widened slightly.

"Why wouldn't I?" I laughed again. "I didn't say yes to him when he asked me to be his girlfriend, I said yes to you."

"He asked you to be his girlfriend?!" Shisui nearly shouted. I flinched back slightly, shaking my head.

"No, I'm just trying to make a comparison," I sighed. "What I'm trying to say is, remember who I chose next time you decide to be immature."

"Fine," Shisui let out a breath and wrapped his arms around me. I smiled and returned the gesture.

"(Y/N), I love you and I'm sorry," He said, burying his face in the crook of my neck. I laughed softly, tightening my arms around him slightly.

"I love you too," I pulled away and kissed him softly. "Even when you're being ridiculous."
