*~*~*~*~*~*~*

About two months had passed since Sasuke first discovered that I had been watching him train. Since then I had continued to go and visit him, and I would go as far to say we were a little more than acquaintances. He never told me much, I didn't know his deepest secrets, but he did tell me some things about his past. I knew he was from the Leaf Village, but he no longer belonged there; he also told me about his goal of revenge on his brother, he told me what his brother did and I was a little short of horrified.

I didn't blame him for seeking his revenge, I still didn't know where he lived or where he went when he wasn't in the forest. He was a rouge ninja now after all, there are very few places who would be willing to take him in.

Soon enough, my work within my little village had caught up with me; my missions were piling up and there had been talk of me going over to one of the five great nations to proctor the chunin exams. It had been at least two and half weeks since I had seen Sasuke. I was sitting at home filling out a mission report on a mission I had completed in the Land of Wind, and I couldn't stop thinking about Sasuke.

I did worry for him a bit, he seemed headstrong and at times easily manipulated. His drive to achieve revenge could easily be bent to deceive him into believing things. He could easily be taken advantage of. I looked down at the half finished report and closed it, there was no way I would be finishing it any time soon. I glanced out of the window at the small little village.

The shouts of merchants selling fresh produce came drifting through the window. I watched as some leaves drifted through the wind slowly. Our village was built in a small valley that could be accessed by a small bridge that went across a river which boarded the north end of our village. We had forests surrounding the other sides. Another gust of wind blew my curtains into the air and pushed my hair off of my face.

I decided to close the window, the tempting calls of the outside were distracting me from my work. I reopened the report and forced myself to work. I had barely written down another sentence when I heard a knock at my door. I was glad to have an excuse not to keep my eyes glued to a piece of paper as I got up and practically ran to the door. I opened it slowly and looked out to see someone shrouded in a cloak. I furrowed my brow.

"Uh...I think you have the wrong house," I began closing the door, but I nearly jumped out of skin when the person grabbed the door, forcing it to stay open. I gulped.

"Wh-Who are you?" I stammered. The person stepped inside, not answering my question and closed the door behind them. I took a defensive stance, trying to rid myself of the fear. I needed to be strong to deal with a threat. I was getting ready to hit them, but that was before the person put their hood down. This revealed none other than Sasuke himself. I gaped at him, kind of pleasantly surprised he was here but also extremely annoyed at him acting like that.

"What the hell was that for?!" I demanded throwing my arms in the air. "You almost gave me a heart attack."

"Also you're a rouge ninja, did you see nothing wrong with just waltzing into a populated ninja village?" I kept my eyes wide, hoping he could see the distress that I was in. He looked completely unfazed. He took off the cloak he was wearing at placed it on the chair next to my door.
