I smiled at my daughter as she played the piano in tune with Nessie. I crossed my arms as I stood beside Bella. Alice walked into the room holding a vase and gasped as she froze, her eyes becoming clouded. Everyone turned to her and the girls stopped playing. After a few seconds she dropped the vase she was holding; it smashing to pieces as it hit the floor.

Pierre rushed to her side. "What is it Alice?" He said. "The Volturi. They're coming for us. Aro, Caius, Marcus, the Guard and Irina" Alice said. "Cecilia come here sweetie" I said and Cecilia came over to me hugging my leg. "Why?" Carlisle said. "What did Irina see in the woods?" Edward said. "We were just walking" Bella said.

"The girls were catching snowflakes" Seth said. "Of course. Irina thinks the girls are immortal children" Edward said. I looked down at Cecilia who hugged my leg tighter. Immortal children?...

"The immortal children were very beautiful. So enchanting. To be near them was to love them. But their development was frozen at the age they were turned. They couldn't be taught or restrained" Carlisle said as Bella and I flicked through the pages of a book. "A single tantrum could destroy an entire village" Carlisle continued.

"Humans heard of the devastation. Stories spread. The Volturi were forced to intervene. Since the children couldn't protect our secret they had to be destroyed. Their creators grew very attached and fought to protect them. Long established covens were torn apart. Countless humans slaughtered. Traditions, friends, even families...lost" Carlisle said sending shivers down my spine.

"So Denali's mother made an immortal child?" I said. "Yes. And she paid the price" Carlisle said. "Well Cecilia and Renesmee are nothing like those children. They were born not bitten! They grow every single day" I said. "So can't you just explain that to the Volturi?" Jacob said. "Aro has enough proof in Irina's thoughts" Edward said.

"So we fight" Seth said. "Their offensive weapons are too powerful. No one can stand against Jane" Pierre said. "Alec's even worse" Alice said. "Well then we convince them" Bella said. "They're coming to kill us. Not to talk" Emmett said. "No, you're right. They won't listen to us. But maybe others can convince them. Carlisle you have friends all around the world" Edward said.

"I won't ask them to fight" Carlisle said. "Not fight. Witness" Jasper said. "If enough people knew the truth maybe we could convince the Volturi to listen" Edward said. "We can ask this of our friends" Esme said.

I laid Cecilia in her bed and she cuddled her bear. I smiled as I tucked her in before quietly leaving her room turning off the light. I walked into my room and saw Jasper reading on the bed. I kicked off my shoes and climbed in next to him. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as he placed his book down.

"The thought of possibly loosing Cecilia" I said before shaking my head. "It scares me to death" I said turning to Jasper. "It scares me too. Tomorrow we'll head to Alaska to talk to the Denali's" Jasper said and I nodded. "I'll pack Cecilia a small bag" I said before climbing back out of bed. I entered our closet and grabbed a small duffel bag.

I walked back into her room quietly and grabbed some things to entertain her for the drive. I packed her some stuffed toys and a few books Seth could read to her. I also laid out her clothing on the chair in the corner of her room before exiting. I walked back into my room and placed the bag on the ground by the door. "Do you think this will work?" I said as I sat beside Jasper.
