Kanbe had returned to the castle after going alone on a quest to slay goblins that were attacking a village. It was easy for Kanbe due to his skills, but the experience gained by eliminating the goblins was wonderful for Kanbe, and he managed to understand what Evan told him when they fought. He noticed that he could fight so much better, and how to avoid the mess of last time from happening again. And so Kanbe returned to the castle, which is when he saw David and August talking back on the meeting room where David's friends talked.

"Oh, hello! I'm so glad that you came back, Kanbe. The angels have sent a comrade for your duty. His name is August and while he is a silver-blooded angel, he is almost as strong as the royal guard of the Angel King. He has been training with the Angel King, even if his fighting style is a bit different from Ignatius's style." David said as he smiled at the young hero.

"Oh, I see. Do you fight wielding a sword then?" Kanbe said as he looked at August.

"Yes, as obvious as it is. I enhance myself and then fight. But I can cast some spells too." August replied as he looked at the hero.

"Do you know who is my target to defeat right now?" Kanbe asked, as he looked seriously at August.

"It's foolish to try to defeat Sumeragi right now. We sent some soldiers to kill him. As you can guess, they got killed by Sumeragi. That man is too dangerous. Cunning, strong and angry. A bad combination of all the things that make a man dangerous." August replied, with a worried face.

"I obtained levels and experience. It's just a matter of time until I catch up to him, and we can handle it with your assistance." Kanbe said, with confidence in his voice.

"And? Still, you cannot close the difference between him and you. So don't be foolish, you are not in the position to be a threat to Sumeragi. At least for now." August said, as he felt like he had to warn the young hero before his rash decision doomed the future of the entire world.

"I will defeat him." Kanbe confidently declared.

"You are a fool, then." August said, as he scowled.

"You are not the first who said it. Evan did the same. And he defeated Saida and me. He was a level 1." Kanbe said as he chuckled.

"Well, then I will see how you manage to do the same, Hero. That's part of the duty I have. Still, you are a bit of an idiot." August said, as he simply shrugged. 'There's no way to stop a guy so confident. So might as well let him try, if he manages to do so: Good. If he messes up, I save him.' August thought to himself.

"Maybe, but I am quite sure that I will improve." Kanbe said, with determination in his eyes.

August smiled, he did hate idiots and fools, but there was something in the eyes of Kanbe that made him believe that Kanbe did have something in mind to defeat Sumeragi.

Meanwhile, Evan was in the orphanage and had chosen the clothes that he would be using on the party that was going tonight. He decided to go with a black doublet, black trousers and black boots with a pair of hidden daggers in case of need. He disliked the doublet being a tight fit and would totally make him unable to use his fists well in case of need, but it was widely used in the noble parties, and as a man invited to a party of a noble he had to wear such tight clothes. Still, he managed to be able to wear boots, even if the best was to wear more normal shoes. Noche was laughing every time he saw Evan wearing that, which made Evan furious.

"You look like a clown." Noche said as he stifled a laugh.

"I know. I just want to go to the party, shake hands with Josh and wait until his brains are scattered! And then go back to my bed." Evan said as he smiled like a demon, his usual signal that he was furious.

"Remember. Do not let your wrath be your ruin. At least have a bit of dignity or, better said, what little remains of it." Noche said in a joking tone, as he aimed to tease the young dark lord.

"One more word! One more and I shall place you in a stable and with steel chains!" Evan exclaimed as he aimed at Noche.

"Understood." Noche quickly said, not wanting to end tied up and left behind.

Noche entered the body of Evan, surprised by how easy it was to tease Evan. Evan had to go and get Rose to go to the party, because he remembered that he only could bring one ally with him, and Rose was the best choice to take due to her healing skills, yet he saw her trembling. As Evan inspected the area, he saw a small blue cube floating around outside the orphanage but didn't raise any alarm in his mind, as he considered that the technocrats wouldn't miss any sort of surveillance unit.
