Chapter 87: The Speech.

Evan enjoyed the Razad while he looked at the extra event until he noticed that it was a speech of David himself followed by a fight between slaves, which lately were becoming more popular than ever in Elstivia. This truly soured Evan's day, and not in a small amount, to the point where Evan couldn't enjoy the Razad as well as before hearing the speech, and what came after it.

David simply walked forward to the arena, and grabbed a microphone to start talking, while Blodra and Ignatius were near the entrance of the arena, waiting for David to finish the speech while Ignatius smiled.

-David: Hello, dear spectators of the MMAR. This year is a rather important one, since the best fighters are here in a year that holds a special meaning. As you probably know, the oracles prophesied that the dark lord would arrive, when the darkest time for humanity has arrived! Just like ages ago happened with Alterna, Noche, and Grairos... But instead of allowing them to destroy our way of life and our chances to avoid war, we will defeat the dark lord! We must be strong, just like the fighters of the MMAR became strong to participate in it! Let's enjoy this tournament, and pray that the light of Zerax bless us with strong warriors to face these dark times!

Everyone started clapping, while Evan sighed and decided to just finish the Razad before he decided to laugh at the amount of propaganda he was hearing. That is until Ignatius walked around to go near David.

After the two kings left, everyone started getting excited about the upcoming part which Evan reacted with a surprised face.

Blodra, who was wearing her usual robes, and Arthias arrived to the arena, ready to sing. The few angels that were in the amphitheater started chanting Arthias name, and it was mostly due to the popularity of Arthias as a singer. She started singing the Anthem of Asthalos, with her angelic voice softly and with it the song was really soothing.

Evan looked at Arthias interested and used inspect on her, which made him chuckle.

-Evan: "Now I do understand why Ignatius was close to David. What an overprotective brother. Poor devil who dates her. Or probably those who try will end up dead, sooner or later."

Evan kept looking at Arthias and enjoying the music, until Blodra started to sing. Blodra started singing a ceremonious song in a harmonious way. The song in question was in a language that Evan couldn't understand, but his body started getting hotter and hotter, like if someone ignited his stomach while adding acid into it. His legs started wobbling, and his prosthetic eye stopped working, after a few seconds of hearing it he fell to the ground unable to move.

Evan tried to move, only to see his vein pop, causing more pain to him, while he was forced to remember how his family treated him. How everyone he met unless Wukong, Darya, and Elizabeth, decided to betray him or try to use him for a reason. That made him angry, but getting angry only caused him more pain.

Rose noticed it rather fast and carried him away, as fast as she could, to Wukong. She didn't understand why he was in pain, and Lillian was near Alex back at that moment which meant that many people would see Evan if that happened.

Wukong looked surprised at Evan, not understanding what was going on, until he heard a Noche that was also suffering, and mainly he was groaning at least twice for every word he spoke.

-Noche: That damned Fae is singing the Song of Sealing! That song is literal cyanide for Evan and me! Take us away! Or rip her damned throat! I DON'T CARE WHICH HAPPENS FIRST! I don't want to hear it! AND I WON'T LET ANYONE ORDER ME WHAT TO DO RIGHT NOW, SO YOU BETTER SHUT UP AND JUST CARRY US AWAY!

Wukong sighed and decided to carry Evan to the waiting rooms, where the song wouldn't be heard, and let him rest. Evan, in that very same moment, was smiling like a demon while crying tears of blood.
