Song for the chapter: The Rigs- Devil's Playground

Oct.29th

"Uhm, I planned a trip with Lexi. She's coming down from school to pick me up." I lied.

Looking around my living room, I tried figuring out what day or time it is. From the half opened curtain, it looks dark out. That doesn't really help since its fall and dark skies could either be 5pm or 6am.

"How long will you be gone?" Mom sighed.

Standing up, I walked to the bathroom. Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"A week maybe. We planned a lot of activities." What a bunch of bull... I haven't even texted Lexi back from the last time she texted me... a month ago.

"Let us know when you get back so we can have a dinner together, okay?"

"Okay. I'll text you." I probably won't...

"Bye, love you."

"Love you too."

Looking down at the phone I saw it was Oct. 29th, 6:30pm.

Fuck. I can't believe a year has passed already. Its been a year since I've been a warrior. That's so crazy.

Last year, around this time, Jason popped into my life. Rearranging every single normal thing about myself, breaking everything I thought I knew about the world.

I couldn't get him out of my mind as I washed up. I miss him a lot. This all started with him.

Fuck, I miss him....

I decided to dress up nicely. This is the first time in a while that I slept for more than a few hours. Not only does evil keep me awake but the nightmares are annoyingly consistent and disturbingly vivid...

It is odd though... I went through the entire day sleeping without any interruptions...

Could the demons be planning something big for my birthday?

Like my death....

Either way, lets use this time to clean the house up. The living room has been my bed while my actual bed hasn't even been touched.

First thing, after showering I went upstairs to pick a nice comfy outfit. Something nice to at least take a bike ride around to see the Halloween decorations.

I dried my hair, tying it back into a pony tail, tips stopping under my butt. Wow, my hair has really gotten out of control. I should trim it at least.

For outfit, I dressed in a red flowy skirt paired with the matching red off the shoulder top, the long sleeve blouse was very small, just long enough to cover my bra. I feel comfortable in it so no need to overthink the need for modesty. Just wear what you're happy in, right? It even had lace detail around the edges, its too cute to pass up.

For shoes, some black lace up heels. They were really cute, my mom bought them for me for a job interview. But they're way too cute for that.

I look good!

I miss dressing up! I don't even remember the last time I changed, let alone dressed up. Adding some accessories and perfume and we were good to go.

I cleaned up a bit before leaving. Feeding the babies as well as playing with them.

Stepping out into the fresh air was so refreshing. It actually made me laugh. When was the last time I even stepped outside?

Picking up my rusted bike, I dusted it off bit before getting on and riding down my now lit up driveway.
