So big fat PSA: I have changed the book title and cover (again..I sorry) because y'know Chasing The Star...Elle is a chaser...Sirius is a star etc etc

"Oh look the freak has returned!"

"Talking in third person are we Tuney?" Eloise chimed from the sofa in the Evans' house. She turned to see Lily's less-than delightful sister stood on the staircase, her arms crossed and her face scrunched up as though she had smelt something horrid. Eloise heard Lily try to disguise her laugh as a cough and sent a cheeky grin her way.

"Why are you here anyway?" she asked, perching herself on an armchair, "I thought you'd finally left"

"Well you see Tuney, sometimes when people have friends, they come to visit" she spoke as though she was talking to a small child, "I know the idea must be quite foreign to you seeing as you have no friends, but I came to see the wonderful Lily" Petunia scoffed but before she had time to reply, Mr and Mrs Evans walked through from the kitchen.

"Petunia, when is Vernon arriving?" her mother asked, trying to stop the argument bound to happen between Petunia and Eloise,

"Any minute now" she said with a snooty grin, she turned to Lily and Eloise, "So no funny business in front of my boyfriend" she pointed her bony finger at them. Eloise spat out the mouthful of orange juice that she was drinking,

"Sorry about the juice Mrs E but, I'm sorry - You're boyfriend is coming?" she asked, taken aback as she stared at Petunia,

"What? Jealous?" she looked down her nose at the shocked girl,

"Not exactly Tunemeister, I have a boyfriend of my own. And if I had known that boyfriends were allowed I would've invited him" Eloise noticed that Mrs Evans' face lit up as she said that,

"Oh why don't you Eloise? Sirius is a lovely boy! And why don't you invite James Lily, isn't that Eloise's brother"

"We are not inviting James!" Lily said as though she was disgusted at the idea,

"Oh come on Lils, he'd love it!" Eloise grinned and Lily shook her head sharply, crossing her arms,

"No chance in Hell"

It turned out there was a chance in Hell as, not half an hour later, James and Sirius were accompanying them at the table, Eloise having flooed back to invite them. James sat inbetween a very annoyed Lily, winking as he sat down beside her, and a giggling Eloise, with Sirius on her other side. Eloise had never seen her brother act so politely as he spoke with Lily's parents, he seemed to have toned down the arrogance to make a good impression. Opposite Eloise was Petunia who was clinging onto the arm of a man...or was it a walrus? Either way, he seemed very discomforted by the whole ordeal, Eloise swore she caught him staring somewhat jealously at Sirius' sleek hair, occasionally raising his hand to pat down his own straw-coloured hair that lay flat on the top of his head.

"So Sirius" Mr Evans began, "How long have you and Eloise been together?"

"Not long Sir, only a month, but we've been best friends for almost six years and I had feelings for her for a good three before I plucked up the courage to ask her out" he smiled and Eloise squeezed his hand from under the table.

"Oh how sweet" Mrs Evans gushed,

"Yes, well it's mine and Vernon's one year anniversary in two weeks" Petunia chipped in, smiling up at the man who gave an awkward sort-of grimace in return.

"And what do you do for work Vernon?"

"I work for Grunnings" he said proudly, "The drill company, I've been there for almost 10 years"

"Such a steady job" Petunia said, lovingly staring at her boyfriend, though her expression changed when she turned to Eloise, "What does your boyfriend do?"

"We're sixteen Tuney Loony" Eloise said boredly, "But he's pretty much top of the class in everything" she said, turning with a smile, "Below me and Lily of course"

"And me!" James called, pointing a finger at his sister, "I got higher than you in our last Transfiguration essay" he said triumphantly and Eloise pulled a face at him,

"Only because you copied the majority of my answers"

"No I didn't, I can't anymore since you moved to sit next to your boyfriend" James looked pointedly at Sirius who was observing the conversation amusedly, along with Lily and her parents,

"It's not my fault that Minnie moved me, I don't blame her seeing as you normally spent the whole lesson getting me to change my hair colour" Eloise snapped her mouth shut as Sirius' grip tightened on her leg. She had let it slip that she could change her hair colour in front of Vernon, although, thankfully he didn't seem to notice,

"Transfiguration?" he asked with a sneer, "Oh how school has gone downhill since my days, learning all of these useless subjects"

The dinner went on for about another hour, Lily having to whisper things into the others' ears if they didn't understand something that the muggle Vernon had said. Petunia had run up to her bedroom as soon as Vernon had left so Lily, Eloise, Sirius and James were helping with clearing up,

"Sit down Mrs Evans, we're more than happy to do this" Sirius smiled and the lady shook her head slightly with a laugh before walking off to the lounge on the other side of the house, muttering to herself about how much of 'sweet boy' he was.

"We can do this guys" Eloise said to James and Lily, "You two can go"

"No, Elle, it's fine" Lily said, widening her eyes and shaking her head at the girl. Eloise had to hold back a laugh,

"No really, I insist" she smirked and Lily gave in, walking towards the sitting room. Eloise caught Sirius looking at her and turned to face him, "What?" she asked innocently as she began to wash a plate,

"You are evil" he laughed, "I thought Lily was your best friend"

"She is, but James is my brother" she looked through the door of the kitchen to see James talking animatedly and she was happy and surprised to see Lily replying, equally as excited, when James caught her eye from the sofa, he winked subtly "Can you hear what they're talking about?" she asked and Sirius squinted his eyes to listen, his dog hearing coming in handy,

"They're talking about their favourite ice cream flavours" Sirius told her with a laugh and she smiled fondly, glad that they were finally getting along.
